Anyone see the Trip Advisor programme the other night about interfering geeks telling people how to run their hotels from behind the safety of their keyboards. Just a bunch of moaning tosspots with plenty to say but nothing to back it up. Using the keyboard one-handed while rubbing themselves into a frenzy of self-righteousness and offering little in the way of constructive advice or support for the people involved.

      Ring any bells Darkside?

No i must have been watching that programme on BBC 2 about Gordon Brown and the last days of his goverment where everybody including his chancellor was telling him his stubborness and bad leadership was going to bring the country to its knees and how change was needed, despite all that he just would not listen, but hey look at where as a country we are now, and more so — where gordon is.

NOW DOES THAT RING ANY BELLS?

        Indeed, and after being replaced (ousted) by the popular revolt of the majority….and the also-rans, this country has found that the new stewardship has overseen the plunder of the public service (both jobs and soon to be pensions), the demise of public policing – and subsequent job losses, a ‘new’ defence review cutting our ability to defend ourselves in time of crisis – and subsequent job losses, the singlehanded dismantling of the eurofighter programme – and all the subsequent job losses attached to that, the introduction to us, imposition of Mr Michael Gove upon us and the subsequent and quantifiable drop in support for education particularly the incomprehensible rise in university tuition fees, the risible NHS reforms, more children falling into the ‘NEET’ group, inflation at over 5%……………..etc etc;

but at least there are three other countries (Greece, Italy and Spain) worse than us in this European premier league of countries.

…….change does not necessarily make it better.

Anyway, I prefer Mr Piemon’s analogy which focused more on unqualified buffoons with scant knowledge of their area under discussion making “subjective” and often offensive remarks in their crusade to pleasure themselves in their fantasy world of their own reflective consciousness.

But hey!……………..that’s just my opinion – I must be a bit thick.

when was that tv programme on – it sounds like it has more intrigue than ‘downton abbey’ ?

“scant knowledge of the area under discussion” you add

what area would that be ? the shambolic defending ?, impotent attack ? or laborious needless sideway passing ?

from where i sit, only one man seems to have scant knowledge of what is needed in those areas, but then again sitting bottom on 5 points with one fortuitous win under his belt and presiding over the worst start by any wigan athletic team since 1994/95 (17 years)- he deserves much better than long standing fans quetioning his ability – everybody keeps telling us doubters – its not his fault, he plays the correct way and give him time – so can someone please give me a rational reason for me to support this manager.

No, not really. Becuase in your programme, as well as the great unwashed (who, incidentally, in the main know nothing about how governments really work; they may think they do, but they can’t in reality because they never get to see what goes on) the people inside his own organisation wanted him out.

At Wigan Athletic – for I think that is to what you are trying to compare it – only certain sections of the great unwashed want the leader out. Nobody inside the organisation does.

        Good effort though. Almost

Anyway, you should all be watching Modern Family instead. That Gloria bird has a couple of leaders I wouldn’t mind seeing ousted.

Again I feel saddened that you feel the need to take my comments so personally LMB – when I said “scant knowledge………” you appear to have taken it as a personal slight on your unswerving, fanatical and, if I may, somewhat obsessive crusade to have the manager removed from his position.

It was a generalisation of those others who write without thought, repeating ad nauseum the same old guff ……………your obsessive and rather neurotic vitriol is unquestionable.

“from where i sit……” – now would that be from a bench within the dressing room as he appears to have the full support of that dressing room? (thought not). However, I do understand that it is sometimes difficult to hear that support over the whinnying of a (high) horse.

I am not going to give explanation as to why you should support the manager (plenty before me already have), however, it is on record that like many, many others he has mine.

Can you edit that please? It looks far too much like Spurs 9:1, to me :(

Although Spurs 9:1 was indeed prophetic I think you are confusing it with

            1 Peter 4:7 ;)

Mickyc your wasting your time with LMB full of his self that chap

I once asked the question to the Dark side and the darth vader and after four days he replied indirectly mind

his post is one that crops up on a regular basis from martinez supporters with nothing of any substance to say in his defence.

We cant change the manager because nobody decent will come.

They then praise the fact he is changing the club from top to the bottom, yet no one can see any discernable differences apart from the reserve team doesnt get stuffed every week – but that could also be explained that most clubs in the premiership only play youth team players in their reserve games now, the only real change under martinez, is the first team has got constantly worse despite his rhetoric.

Lastly the flight of fantasy dished out more than any other, “martinez is ok but his coaching staff are the problem” – what utter poppy cock – martinez, as you stated, has started to implement his ideology on the whole club with the full backing of his mentor, but seemingly he doesn’t have the ability to identify or employ a decent coach ?
I am afraid you are and always have been clutching at straws to even contemplate offering this as a credible arguement into the continued tenure of martinez, the truth is and always has been he is not half the manager that his supporters, the media or david whelan claims he is.
