quality moment when utd scored their first goal & (i think) some bloke celebrated. he was sat about 4 seats from me in row L. the guy sat next to him grabbed him by the top of his coat & tried to shift him & shouting “i want him moved – i’m not sitting next to him”. everyone within close proximity then had a go at him. eventually the stewards shifted him.
We didnt have that problem in the east stand as they are always made welcome ! Bring your kids and avoid any nasty incidents despite your kids jumping with joy ! God bless em but ya gotta love the kids whoever they support !
the simple truth is that they should not be in our end. as the blokes in front of me said to him, we wouldn’t be allowed to come to old trafford & sit in the home end. in all honesty its the one thing i hate about playing the scousers & mancs when the wigan born glory hunting utd/liverpool fans invade our sides of the ground.
From what I was told he didn’t do that much celebrating, just applauded the goal, although a bit silly to make himself known he was a United fan, nonetheless.
I’d have been more upset with the stewards and police for blocking my view of the match, had I been one of those sat behind them while they faffed about deciding what to do.
