It wouldnt happen if all the empty seats in the North Stand had been allowed to be sold.

Plus, for visits of clubs like Utd, why not give them extra tickets either in half the South Stand, which never sells out, or a couple of blocks at the end of the West stand, which again isnt very popular amongst the home fans.

quality moment when utd scored their first goal & (i think) some bloke celebrated. he was sat about 4 seats from me in row L. the guy sat next to him grabbed him by the top of his coat & tried to shift him & shouting “i want him moved – i’m not sitting next to him”. everyone within close proximity then had a go at him. eventually the stewards shifted him.

Saw a couple of lads jumping up in the East but nobody bothered or got lairy about it.
Stupid imature behavour from probably a sad fat middle aged man who wished to impress his mates or wife with his ‘oh so hard’ gesture.
You say they shouldnt come in but why not if they are normal scarfers? The game today is so full of hate and vitriol chants that throw abuse rather than support the teams and i was impressed with United fans singing about their past players rather than the boring chants about empty seats etc.
It used to happen in the bad old days(not sure they were as bad as now) i remember standing on the Everton home end aged 13 with my mate supporting Latics in an FA cup match in january 1980.I also remember scores of PNE taking over our ground in 1995 at Springfield again no bother other than at the railway station between like minded individuals.
In a way i am proud that nobody kicked off at those few Utd fans in the East. Its a big change from recent times when fat middle aged women screamed at young children who dared jump up and that inadequate bloke and his friends could do well to remember it isnt a war its just a football match for entertainment rather than a vehicle for their mid life crisis  .

I know plenty of Wiganers who have sat in the home end at Old Trafford and never had any trouble, then again though they have never had anything to jump up for.

Never understood why people spend half the game bursting a blood vessel shouting ‘get them out’ when all most are doing is sat down watching the game. If you sat in the pub you wouldn’t be too fussed. Personally sat next to an Everton fan last season and spent the 90mins talking about the game and different view points throughout. Totally enjoyed it. (Did help that we won though!!!!!)
