If grigg does stay, we’ll have the best striker in league 1 again. Jacobs is good at that level as well.
19 March 2017 at 2:18 pm #157069We could have a cracking side in league one but many will go or be pushed out to fit in with the wage strategy yet again.
19 March 2017 at 2:34 pm #157070Shortage of strikers all season…too many average midfielders, clueless manager. Pre season when we struggled to score was a warning .A ridiculous recruitment drive and allowing Joyce to screw us up 6 games too long all add up to being 2nd worse team in this league.Anyone who thinks we’ll storm league 1 I’m afraid is delusional. From top to the players it has been nothing but a complete cock up and I for 1 think it will get worse before things improve.
19 March 2017 at 2:58 pm #157072Rumour i heard about grigg is he lost is rag kicked ball into crowd hit a child full in the face and Wouldn’t say sorry
Then their was a bust up in a meeting between him and another person over the incident and he was told he would never play for the club again._._but rumours are just that or are they ?Grigg is on crutches (knee ligament damage) i spoke to him yesterday and he said he wouldnt play again this season because of the injury.
He’s a smashing lad Will i really cant see that he wouldnt say sorry to a child if he accidentally booted a ball and it hit them in the face.
Fuck the EFL

Grigg did kick the ball into the crowd, but straight after that game my son and his mate had a photo with him and he was happily chatting with fans outside the stadium.
He’s injured. We saw him hobble past on crutches last week!
19 March 2017 at 3:25 pm #157075Nobody in championship gonna buy him and nobody in league one can afford himBut plenty will take him on loan whilst his wages are subsidised by Wigan. There were enough takers for Grant Holt and I suspect Griggs wages wont even be half of what he was on!

No need to loan him out, if we trim the squad down a bit with no loanees we will be able to afford his wages ourselves and he will bang the goals in again for us next season.

I didn’t think it would be true, being honest.
Can be a key player again next season.
19 March 2017 at 9:21 pm #157093If it was true why would he need to pull out of the Irish squad?. As someone said, load of bollix.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!19 March 2017 at 11:09 pm #157094Tin hat goes on
I would like to see Kellet given a chance playing in the middle of the park. He’s excellent control on the ball with an accurate pass. He always tries to play his way out of trouble rather than hoof. The new Perkins ? (Puts motorbike helmet on top of tin hat)

Nowt wrong with Kellet, no need for a tin hat with me mate.

His best football for us was playing in the attacking mid role last season in a handful of games.
22 March 2017 at 3:33 am #157162Trust me, Jack Byrne will.be outstanding for us in this type of role.
I’m amazed he hasn’t played for us yet, as he stood out a mile for Blackburn at DW. Small, diminutive play maker, always looking for an opening.
He can be great for us next season.
22 March 2017 at 10:39 am #157163Let’s hope so Vat. Not sure but that game he played for The Rovers that day may well have been his last league outing this season so hopefully he will be ready for June pre-season training.
28 March 2017 at 3:57 pm #157301Barrow adopted the same tactics by using Bogle alone up front. Cannot believe some of the comments directed at Bogle.
