If we keep this squad together there is no reason at all we can not bounce back again next season. Hopefully not many will be leaving and we don’t have to do the transfer merry go round yet again. Graham should have these lads together tomorrow and start tomorrow as the beginning for next season and start the match in two weeks from a squad made up of these lads. Pre-season starts tomorrow and these last few games need to used to gell a side together have an holiday, come back and train together, play the summer pre-season together and get league one won next season. No new faces needed.

We certainley have to try and keep Burn, but Buxton, Morgan and Daniels should be good enough, and we also have young Hendry.
I only said this morning that if this squad can stay together – it WILL be good enough to bounce back. IMO burn will stay. It wasnt that long ago when people were labelling him as worst signing ever.
Grigg is a proven league 1 scorer & will be back at his level. As too jacobs who isnt championship level. The only one who can go for me is jonny “attitude” big bollox. Sadly, i think morsy will be snapped up too.

Talks on who is going to be with us next season and indeed the players the board cannot afford next season need to start immediately. We can not go through the same close season bullshit of last year. Forget the August window, let’s have a squad ready to do the business before the season starts and playing together before the season starts. Let’s be in a situation where no new squad members are required even if we have a smaller squad. A squad of Latics players who want to play for Latics and who want a future at Latics.

While I agree with you lad it would mean that if Barrow doesn’t want the job full time then a new manager would need to be appointed now so he can become a part of it.
What makes anyone so sure that Jack Byrne’s good enough. No one has seen him play.A City fan at work said he’s a decent hard tackling combative midfielder and reckons he is easily good enough to hold his own in the Championship.
Like you say though, we haven’t seen anything of him yet, maybe we are keeping him out of view of prying eyes, or perhaps he’s just not fit like most of the signings Joyce made.

League 1 means offload players who are not ready/fit….offload any bertie big bollocks and get shut of all the lingering backroom staff who have been ever presents through our decline.
