What is happening to music at the minute, It’s all bad pop and RnB nonsense We need to something to happen, we need a band or two that matter. The only independent band I can think of at the minute that are not pretentious gits are South Yorkshire based Exit Calm. Has anybody got any suggestions?
The music industry has very little to do with the music, its all down to making money, and all the pop and R&B sells, so the record companies sell it. About 10 years ago there was a move in the pop industry to look for the next big thing, people wanted to jump onto band wagons because there was nothing coming through from the 90’s in the way of established acts that would last.
So the music industry continues to profit from dead artists and back catelogues and the next big thing, which was also effected by Xfactor etc..

Check out the Outlier Record label site plenty of stuff going on you just have to know where to look ! The Second Floor are pretty good. A girl I know used to live with the singer out of Exit Calm ! Oh also The 66 are up and coming too ! There are loads ! :P

Please re-read my last post. Yes I like Paramore but I HATE Boomin.. Think they are awful!.. Most people I know locally are obsessed with them. Cant stand them! Seen them in Boulevard on numerous occasions (Didn’t go in to watch them, I am just never out of the Boulevard as it is has always been my pub of choice) and was not impressed at all.
