I never thought I would see Marlon Harewood tear us a new one like he did today – he had no right taking a chance for his first goal, and the same goes for Baptiste in the second half: how can you get beat on your near post from 25 yards by a defender?!
What makes it more amazing is that he only went to Blackpool this week and he was completely free! Fair play to him, hope he does a decent job there for them.

I found it a nice touch that the only time ES2 sang in the 2nd half is when they where calling our own team “whale”.

Can you blame them 4-0 to a newly promoted side who is battling relegation like us

The difference being that in 1993, we had a bunch of journeymen pro’s, has-beens, and never-will-be’s, who were not much cop at all, but they DID give 100%.
I remember going to West Brom near the end of the season. We only took about 100, stood on the old terrace there. They were right at the top, getting promoted, and we were battered 5-1. But we STILL gave it our best shot, and from what I recall the players battled so much more than we did today.And back then, we KNEW we were rubbish. But at the present, our team is supposedly full of decent players, internationals, and promising players….and that’s why it is so annoying.
