For anyone confused, that’s Wigan Evening Rugger Post & Manchester United Evening News……..
The muen gets left on the works canteen table, so i have a scan through. It has to be said, even though i don’t like both manchester clubs (even though one is in salford), this paper has a serious vendetta or issues with one of it’s own sports clubs.
Stories sensationalized to look negative on city & positive for utd. Dirt get’s dug up about city, yet forgotten about when it’s utd. Outrageous headlines about city (empty seats/oil money)etc, yet nothing but glorious positive praise for utd?????
SOUND FAMILIAR!
It would appear, not only do the powers that be, who run these rags (both of them), favor one side, but they may be doing it deliberately for a simple reason. They refuse/can’t accept the fact there has been a power shift in our respective town/city. Football becoming the priority sport in town & city becoming premier league champions.
It would appear that it’s not only wafc fans that feel like people within our own town don’t want us to succeed, But also city fans have to put up with a similar scenario within their own city. There is a boycott of buying/reading the muen by city fans, i advise fellow wigan athletic fans to do the same with the werp. It’s only purpose is to be put at the bottom of a litter tray for pups/kittens to “decorate” as they please.
Just in case people didn’t know, the new editor in charge of the werp is non other than mrs wilson (wife of paul wilson – has a notorious hatred of anything wafc or football in wigan) and yes he’s a worryers “fan”
BOYCOTT
There is a boycott of buying/reading the muen by city fans, i advise fellow wigan athletic fans to do the same with the werp.
I haven’t bought that rag for years (and then usually only because there was a picture of my kids at some school event or other).
Their bias is nothing new. I suspect most Latics fans don’t buy it anyway already.
They’re so biased towards the rugby that they regularly get players names wrong.But Egg, that’s because they’re a bunch of biased thick tw*ts!
