I have a season ticket now every season since I was 12. I went to renew it on last week and was mentioned about the cheaper season review DVD, to which the miserable old lady behind snarled “we arent doing that anymore”. I told her no matter, at least I can still get my discount at Rigolettos when I take the Mrs on the weekend….. later that evening I was told by the restaurant manager yet again,”we arent doing that any more”!
Well what do you give us then!??? Anyone who gets a season ticket this year gets exactly the same deal as me! And this happens every season.
I was talking to my mate who is a City fan and he gets all sorts! And if he renews before a certain date he saves £50.
Now I know we’re one of the cheapest around but surely we should get deals? Or at least give us the offers that they already promote and actually follow through with it!
rant over……..
6 July 2010 at 10:49 pm #39256Sounds like a typical fuck up by the admin team AGAIN. The Rigalletoes offer is in the new season ticket pack. Can’t be sure about the dvd as didnt read it that much but think it is mentioned. :?
6 July 2010 at 10:57 pm #39257So in a nutshell your paying less than £300 for a Premier League season ticket yet you want more.
Get a grip mon
6 July 2010 at 11:36 pm #39262me and the wife also when on sat nite i got my discount at first he said it was out of season then i showed him my renewal ticket and told him about what it said in the renewal pack and i got my discount.
7 July 2010 at 2:14 am #39283“surely we should get deals”……ask the club if they’d consider season ticket prices lower than League 2 or Conference clubs, oh hand on a minute, they’ve tried that and still there’s some whingers about
*shakes head

I think the two optional deals available are:
a. Pay League One prices and watch Premier League Football again
b. Don’t and f*ck off
7 July 2010 at 2:46 am #39285Thats fair enough Standish, he/she’s watched us for 12 years, seen up against teams we never thought we’d play in league football and moans about paying £13-£14 a game. Proud to be a Latics fan and a Wiganer, but unfortunately we have some right idiots who don’t deserve what opportunities present themselves as far as WAFC go.

7 July 2010 at 11:38 am #39296Strange, but they sent Hooters waitresses round with my season ticket, gave me loan of Chairman Dave’s helecopter for the rest of the year, with free beer and food at every home game. Maybe I got lucky with my season ticket….. I think the powers that be read this web site and work out who’s been naughty and nice…..
7 July 2010 at 12:20 pm #39297If I was taking a member of the fairer sex out for a meal I certainly wouldn’t be taking her to a restaurant inside a football stadium ! No matter how nice it may be the correct ambience has got to be high on the list and I am afraid a football stadium will not create said ambience with the majority of women ! Also pulling out a season ticket or some sort of voucher in order to receive a discount would also hinder ones chances of some sack action ! ;)
7 July 2010 at 1:07 pm #39302You know something? I’ve had a season ticket for 25 years now, and at times I’ve felt ‘hard-done’ by. Why? Because of certain things that have happened, the way things have been administrated, etc. Such as, the free Carling Cup Final tickets given to ‘loyal fans’. The whole way it was done was ridiculous. I had people I know, who had been watching us for a couple of seasons, waving tickets in my face, yet myself and my father didn’t get any. It was all wrong, the way it was done, and at the time I told Matt McCann as much.
And then there are the yearly ‘rewards’ that are supposedly given. The ‘bring a friend for a fiver’,or whatever. That’s all fine and well, but how is it rewarding the actual season ticket holder? It isn’t. The club can’t seem to grasp this, and don’t help themselves by the way they market it as a ‘reward for season ticket holders’. It isn’t.Why don’t they just issue a voucher to season ticket holders for, say, the value of £10 or £15, for redemption in the club shop. These could be collected from the ticket office, and marked off against your season ticket. Most people would by a replica shirt or something which needed money putting to it, so they’d get a fair chunk of the expense back.
Is it THAT difficult? Surely this would BE a reward for s/t holders?

And that, my friends, is exactly why I don’t bother on here.
Yes, I told McCann. I spoke to him direct. Him, and Hayton.
What’s wrong with that, gob shyte? Or do you think they can do no wrong?
Tosser.
