A point gained or two points dropped?
Crying out for a decent winger today.
Some service for Garner may have helped too.30 March 2019 at 9:55 pm #177753Not the best, not the worst, definitely not “on song”. Under different managers we’d have won 1-0 or lost 1-0. I prefer James out wide myself but that’s a matter of opinion. I want to take the deadballs myself as in my imaginary head I could take them better.

Some service for Garner may have helped too.Brentford are a bloody good team put all the rolling over and banging the floor after every challenge to one side. As I said in another post, a point a game for the rest of the season and it will be mission accomplished.
We are looking more of a team again with all the walking wounded back.
That would have been goal of the season if Massey had knocked it in. What a run from Powell! From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!30 March 2019 at 9:56 pm #177755Could have won, could have lost so considering the other results a point will do. Thought they moved the ball well just too much crying to ref.

Not over yet, I believe 7 of their players are still rolling around on the pitch, hands slamming into the turf. What a soft load of pansies they are!
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!30 March 2019 at 10:15 pm #177758Soft cheating gets. Not seen anything like that for years.
Agree about James too. Get him in position out right.
Tried hard to work out where Massey was meant to be playing. Several times he was out of position giving our players no option with the ball.
Is it me or has Sam Morsy passed his sell by date at this level. He’s so slow and does nowt with the ball.30 March 2019 at 10:16 pm #177759It is n fternoon if my life I won’t get back! Thought they played nice passing stuff out from the back but it lead to little thought we might nick it t the end but alas
30 March 2019 at 10:30 pm #177760Having watched that game it seems to be de riguer to lie down, have a snooze, pat the floor and put your hand in the air. I’m on the Virgin home and lieing in the aisle.
What was an ok game was spoilt by that poor tactic, and not helped by the ref who didn’t simply say “that’s enough folks”. Poor reffing and poor tactics spoilt what could have been much better.
Shame we missed some great chances, but 1 point is better than none.
I had a good afternoon. Hope you did.
Nathan, Fox in the box, NickyP, Massey, Reece …….. all had good MoM games.
30 March 2019 at 10:42 pm #177761Its the fine margins thats costing us mid table comfort. A goal from a corner or another elusive away win would have us feeling far more comfortable. Then we could get on with grumbling about not pushing for a play off spot.
Bloody rubbish Wiggin!
30 March 2019 at 11:17 pm #177762Weren’t brave enough going forward today, sat too deep for most of the game, seemed to be happy not to loose the game again, sick of hearing Cooke on wish saying the opposition are a good team, they make it difficult, blah blah blah, thought they were there for the taking today, two points dropped for me.
30 March 2019 at 11:33 pm #177763Given the frustration of the game, a point gained.
30 March 2019 at 11:42 pm #177764My main criticism (and we got a point so that will do) is that our wing backs go too far towards the middle, leaving a gap the size of the M6 (even allowing for roadworks to create a Smart motorway) outside them.
We were very vulnerable down the flanks.
And I’m sorry but Clarke isn’t a striker. His best move came when the keeper kicked the ball against his back.
Near the end with theh ball at his feet he was facing our goal absolutely frozen while thousands are shouting at him to turn. He even had the room to do that !31 March 2019 at 12:04 am #177765Having watched that game it seems to be de riguer to lie down, have a snooze, pat the floor and put your hand in the air. We don’t seem to play well after a national break gg..?
Didn’t close down today and plenty of missed placed passes from both sides.
Which is why I raised an eyebrow with Powell and James being in your mom candidates. Both kept giving the ball away.31 March 2019 at 2:13 am #177766My main criticism (and we got a point so that will do) is that our wing backs go too far towards the middle, leaving a gap the size of the M6 (even allowing for roadworks to create a Smart motorway) outside them.
We were very vulnerable down the flanks. This is a very interesting point Garswood, and its got me thinking. We all see different aspects of the game and different strengths and weaknesses of players when sitting in different parts of the ground, like the points you’ve just made.
I am curious if the club has considered this in their post game evaluation? If your reading this Cookie you can join me behind the goal and gain the insight of my wisdom, so long as you get the beers in!
