23 April 2017 at 2:13 am #158312Get shut of Barrow asap….shocking let’s play safe set up…..Hanson…Tunnicliffe .What do we have to lose by going all out.Same shit under 3 manager’s….am I missing something?..Got exactly what we’ve deserved this season….rats/ship…now let’s see who starts the exodus. If they not happy in league 1 (where most of em Deserve to play after this season) then no negotiations,Just f@@@ em off .
Cannot believe we started with Tunicliffe, Obertan & Jacobs as our attacking three, shocking decision! First shot on target came on 82nd minute by me reckoning. How the hell does Jacobs keep getting picked? Teachers pet no doubt..
Agree with you mr b, complete change required to sort this inept mess out…..we’ve suffered some crap this season..
23 April 2017 at 2:16 am #158314Neil Warnock’s view of today…Says we looked like we knew we are already down before kick off and just tried to frustrate…says it all really.
Well he would say that vat… what did he contribute to today’s game????
Nothing more he would have liked other than send us down, revenge for 2007… his team were worse than us.

Yeah, but they had nowt riding on the game. Must be hard to motivate yourselves in a meaningless game. Makes our own failings all the worse for not taking advantage.

But if we have had any sense we would have appointed a manager like Neil Warnock after we had sacked Caldwell. We wouldn’t be in this shit if we had have done. Instead we bring in an ex Noblot, Nob End and Dingle with no experience of management.
23 April 2017 at 10:34 am #158333It was a bizarre appointment all things considered. Nigel Pearson was available as well, but I can only think that Joyce came cheaper than Pearson would do.
But my God, what a mistake. Totally inept and made us actually worse, not better, as well as flooding the squad with some bad signings and loans. Bogle and Byrne will come good, I’m sure. But the rest were just quantity rather than quality.
This next appointment will be a defining one for Wigan Athletic. Get it right, and we can bounce back up. Get it wrong, and we can sink further.
23 April 2017 at 11:00 am #158336The law of averages says that of so many signings a couple will be decent. A monkey could have selected the squad as well.
This malarkey with the loanees is a mystery to me, I get the principle but how on earth do they get game time over better full timers.
And what about our loan players at other clubs, wasn’t the time to call them back in earlier in the season, especially that keeper.23 April 2017 at 12:27 pm #158340Spend just that little bit extra & get a decent manager in. IMO, most on this thread are being harsh on the team. I do believe we have a decent team. Yes, its not outstanding, but its a team that SHOULD hold its own in this division. The problem has been the team has been led by 3 very negative & “out of their depth” managers.

Just badly mismanaged.
And why Luke Burke was fired off to Barrow on loan is a total puzzle. I thought it a disgrace. Surely as good, if not better than Hanson?
23 April 2017 at 2:14 pm #158346Vat69 – it was Scarborough that Pat Gavin scored against from near the half way line in an FA Cup game
23 April 2017 at 3:12 pm #158351Vat69 – it was Scarborough that Pat Gavin scored against from near the half way line in an FA Cup gameAh right. I remember us beating Spennymoor 4 nil as well. Memory is going!
24 April 2017 at 2:03 am #158379Hanson, Tunnicliffe, etc not bothered really. You watching same game as me ?. Ok Tunniliffe might not be Messi but for effort and putting a shift he looks to me like he is bothered.
If were not good enough fair play but not trying and not good enough , not acceptable to me24 April 2017 at 3:12 am #158380Was quite impressed with Tunnicliffe yesterday, gave 100% and bombed forward at every opportunity. Not been a real fan of he’s up to now but was more than happy with his contribution on Saturday.
I really can’t understand why anyone wants to question his inclusion, Perkins, then yes. From Matlock to ManU

I really can’t understand why anyone wants to question his inclusion, Perkins, then yes.Perkins is past it now, and I’m sure he will be released. Personally, I wouldn’t have started with any loan players on that pitch. When Morsy was on the bench? Seemed a crazy decision that to me.
24 April 2017 at 12:56 pm #158386He is at this level but will be a good backup in league 1
24 April 2017 at 3:16 pm #158390not sure but might be trouble in camp with morsy once more
