Dodgy first season or a sign of things to come?
I don`t see roberto being able to change things round especially if his signings are going to be of the quality of recent ones, who if i remember rightly played for a championship side that failed to even make the playoffs.
I know we can`t buy world class players but is it to much to ask to not waste our money on third (not second) rate players like scotland and gomez (both ex swansea need i say more) because although ok championship players both are way out of their depths in the premiership.

So if its already been said why are people still under the illusion were gonna win 4 or 3 nil today i hope we do but reading through a few of the posts on here people think we have the players that can do that.
If it does happen ill be happy for today but won`t be going round getting my hopes up.
Sorry if my first post was stating the obvious to some but it isn`t to others they live in dream world.
Is this “dreamworld” you refer to, one were we think we can beat the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool?

What a journey!Thats the one then game after lose 3-1 to hull and get smashed against the dingle’s beat the bottom clubs first we ain’t challenging chelsea or Liverpool are we smart arse.
I take it you mean the 2-1 loss at Hull and by the ‘dingles’ I take it you mean Bolton? As I refer to Burnley as the dingles.
We have been inconsistent but we have shown good signs, even in games we have lost or drawn.
If you think so but Chelsea and Liverpool didn’t turn up and when a good team does turn up we more often than not collapse and show just how bad our players are and just how clueless roberto is.

I think unzie has a point regarding signings. If I was uncle Dave, I’d be very wary handing Bobby my hard earned.

And before you say about the others, Scotland had his best game yesterday, and was unlucky not to break his PL duck.

Mccarthy, Caldwell, Moreno and Moses. You think these are good signings? None of these players are the finished article. Mccarthy looks to be promising I grant you, but still has a lot to learn. Give me Cattermole, Palacios, Valencia and Heskey any day.Since when were Cattermole, Palacios and Valencia the finished article when they joined us? Wigan turned Palacios and Valencia into the high value players they are today…and in contrast just look how far Cattermole has progressed since jumping ship…
As for Emile – whilst without doubt a great player and a a talisman for us – he’s been past his best since his 3rd season at Liverpool!!
