Griff, what would u class em? Let’s class em as not being fit for the job, which Heskey, Camara, Chimbonda, Cattermole, Palacios, Valencia and co were so obviously very competent in, (whether you’d heard of them or not) from the off.
Who, Scotland and Gomez? I’d class them as signings who fitted the tighter budget constraints that weren’t in place when the others were signed, players who have – disappointingly – failed to deliver, as yet.

My favoured material is a book of 200 Daily Mail quick crosswords. Usually 2 completed per visit.

You may be right, but I am spectacularly quick with those crosswords. I can do 2 in 5 minutes, easy.
Plus, it’s one of the few moments of peace I get in a day, so it is not to be rushed.
