A dry, brighter day after any isolated freezing fog patches clear. Some sunny spells may develop, especially in the west. Remaining cold despite the sunshine.
Tonight
Soon turning very cold with ice and frost, locally severe under clear skies. Perhaps a little more cloud across the north later as winds increase.
Friday
A dry, cold start with some brightness. Increasing cloud will bring a spell of snow later, turning increasingly to sleet and rain with some heavy bursts. Becoming windy.
I think the amount of snow fall will be the big one and whether the sleet then turns to ice around the ground.
A frosty and icy, but probably fairly bright start. Clouding over during the morning, with rain quickly turning to snow inland and over high ground. Some significant falls are likely, particularly over the Pennines and Lake District Fells.
Tonight
Sleet and snow clearing eastwards, with showers following on. Most of these showers should be of rain, but still cold enough icy stretches to develop. Very windy in the north.
Saturday
A windy day with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, these most frequent during the morning across Cumbria and Lancashire. Less cold than recent days.

It’s readable, that’s all that really matters.
And there’s no apostrophe in typos. I might inadvertently omit the odd letter (a typo) but my grammar is usually spot on. ;)

Looks more than promising. This taken from the Macclesfield O.S.
With warmer temperatures today and similar overnight, the Silkmen’s groundstaff have cleared the snow from the pitch and lifted the covers to allow the warmer air to get to the pitch. Now recovered against any snowfall this evening, it is currently still in good condition under the groundsheets. Meanwhile, the terraces have been gritted and the stadium is good to go.
But should there be significant snow on Friday afternoon/Evening the club may be asking for volunteers to clear the pitch on Friday Evening and Saturday morning.
