Whelan has said in an interview, he doesn’t know if any club has approached martinez.Did’nt he say he had had no approaches for Martinez at all?.Where is this honesty between them,he must have asked martinez had he been approached.

The honesty is between Whelan and Martinez, not Whelan and you/Sky Sports.

Why,don’t you think we deserve,as paying, loyal customers, the honesty as well.

Nonsense. This is a discussion betwen Roberto, his current employer and any potential future employers; decisions which will affect Roberto and his family’s lives.

This isn’t a soap opera, you know. This is real life. Why on earth do you believe that because you pay (cheaply) to watch football games for your entertainment that you suddenly have a right to know all about one of the staff’s plans for the future?

I am not saying I have a right to know about his future.I said,he(whelen),had said that Martinez ,or wigan ath had definitely not been approached by any other club. Then he says, he doesn’t know if Martinez had been approached. He should know as Martinez is still under contract with us.So therefore shouldn’t be approached at all.
Paying for football(cheaply), is relative to how much you earn and what family commitments you have.To some people latics maybe cheap,to others it maybe expensive.

In short, as Garswood says, you have absolutely zero right to be involved/made aware of private discussions about Martinez’s future, or anyone else at the club for that matter. If Whelan chooses to use the media to pressure/cajole Martinez or perhaps put off potential suitors then that’s his business and right. I seriously doubt that any of his public pronouncements are made with you, or even me, but you especially, in mind.

And quite right too. Because it has rag all to do with you. Your job is to support the club, whoever it chooses to put in place as manager. You can sit glued to Sky Sports and wait for the answer this afternoon like the rest of us.

Sorry but “Paying for football(cheaply), is relative” to how much it costs for a comparable service and nothing to do with how much you earn.

Whether or not your earnings prevent you from buying the cheaper(latics) version or the epensive(arsenal)version is a completely different issue.

Thanks for making me special.I was simply stating Martinez should not be approached by any club whilst still under contract.Whelan should know if any other club has approached him.He says he doesn’t know.keep calm.

Well, try this… say what you mean in future, rather than something completely different. And believe me, I didn’t make you special – that probably happened naturally, quite a while ago.

I cant help thinking that Griff has a get out clause with this one due to the ambiguity of his suspected put down ! ;) Think Mourinho and Darren Orme ;)

It is incredible how the lack of a ‘smiley’ in a post can make you come across as condescending and serious when actually you are sat at home giggling away to yourself. It amuses me anyway, and that’s all I really care about.

                    Oh yes, almost forgot… ;)

I am in fits of laughter sometimes as I reply to posts ! I have an uncanny knack of appearing to come across as deadly serious to some folk when in fact I am taking the rise…Again ! I think it is a better trait than being a ‘Multi’ ! :cheer:
