you should never be embarrassed of your club.

i was’nt embarrassed when we were bottom of the football league so i’m certainly not now.

i will continue to support and be proud of my football club no matter what happens.

so can all you Johnny Come Latleys please fire off back to Man U or the scousers now please because you are really begining to get on my nerves.

nobody that has watched in the lower leagues would be ashamed of were we are now

You should be embarrassed by the team you support if they have been found guilty of match fixing, or they’ve been arrested for tax evasion, or if they’ve been convicted of a gang rape, or if they’ve had a training ground brawl, not because they lose games and are bottom of the league.

Yeah but if you are a true fan you must accept any shit that is served up before you regardless of the fact that you actually DO contribute to the players wages ! Without the fans this club would fold it really is that simple ! Some folk on here cant seem to get it into their heads that yes we do expect better these days otherwise what is the point ? Regardless of how long fans have been watching this club we are in the now, not 20 years ago, not 30 years ago and not playing fucking Goole away ! We are in the top flight NOW and so therefore the standard should be better but it isn’t because the manager has taken us backwards ! As Griff once rightly pointed out, we are a spineless bunch of fans who gripe on here but don’t make our thoughts known on matchdays ! Why is that ? Apart from a few boos here and there I think that RM has had a fairly easy ride off us ! Griff even said he would actually respect someone who acted instead of mouthing off !! Its almost as if the old school think that we are not actually worthy of Premiership football and that is why they keep jumping into their time machines and mentioning the past ! Get over it ! Its gone and we had the chance to establish ourselves in the top flight and put all that fuckin misery behind us, not that it has been that bad with only one relegation !! Like it or not but there are a new generation of fans coming through now and they are used to Premiership football and they expect it ! Without us JCL’s as we have been named, there would be fuck all watching !!

Phil, that’s all well and good, but to say you are ’embarrassed’ by the team as some have done? A few people need a give their heads a wobble – especially if, as they claim, are indeed part of the seemingly 10,000 (and growing on a yearly basis) that went on the trip to Goole.

We’re not ridiculed by the wider public outside of Wigan for losing games – because that’s what everyone has expected us to do for seven year. We’re ridiculed for have poor attendances, or for having a shyte pitch, or for eating pies.
