I’m really not sure what the answer is as far as a new manager goes, I do know believe though that if Souness is the answer, then who should be our manager is not the question. Souness is a shocking manager, he’d just be here for the money and would completely ruin us
well if Souness takes some of Whelans money on the way to ‘ruining us’ thats great. As at the moment, Martinez is simply ruining us, on probably no more than one of Whelans warehouse managers wages.
So the possible outcomes are –
1) Souness comes + he would financially ruin us + We get Relegated = Whelan seriously pissed off and sees the error of his ways
2) Martinez stays + Whelan saves a few quid + We get relegated by January = Whelan doesnt give a toss as he only spent 60k a year on bobble heads wages, sells the club, off to barbados, happily ever after.

Number 1) for me everytime[/quote]
So you don’t really care about Wigan Athletic Football Club do you?
As long as Whelan suffers some financial loss, the club can go to the wall as far as you’re concerned, can it?
Don’t be daft man. You need to get some help for those unresolved issues you have over Whelan. They’re making you sound like a complete and utter fool.

No – dont want Wigan to go to the wall, just want rid of Martinez. The club will be ruined if he is left in charge for the whole season. We will be left with players on 3 year deals that no one wants and we cant afford in the championship – all because of some sentimental misguided loyalty to what was at best a very decent lower league pro.

No, I didn’t think you’ want it to go to the wall, that’s why I replied to your post. We gotta keep level headed in times like these and not keep jumping off cliffs and that’s a general comment made to a lot of people not specifically you.
None of us like what’s going on at the moment and I’m 100% certain that Bob’s not doing it on purpose. As I’m pretty sure that Whelan won’t like it neither. He might be seen as a skinflint but that’s because he likes his money, and becauase of that I can’t see him letting the current situation go on much longer.
Here’s to it improving soon, whichever way it goes with the manager.
