If he sells NZogbia in January he may as well just admitt that he has given up on us. After watching that rubbish today i dont think we will score another 10 goals if NZogbia is not in team. Why does Martinez insist on playing Gomez? No heart whatsoever, i dont mind players being crap but please show a little effort.

Gomez is a broken man. Broken mainly by gobshyte fans who can’t think for themselves.

griff gomez’s problem is he is just not good enough and everyman on the ground except martinez knows it, to suggest his problems are down to “gobshyte fans” is pathetic even for your standards –

i actually agree with what you have said in another post that there were worse on show today far worse than gomez, stam, alcaraz, gouhri, diame & thomas were all worse by far ,but it doesnt hide from the fact gomez is poor on a regular basis –

i noticed in the evening post de ridder saying how he has been frozen out – again perhaps he should have been but he is no worse than gomez and one thing he is – a wide right midfielder which was needed today, but for some reason martinez failed to see this.

Of course he isn’t good enough, we all know that. But I didn’t see us playing much better when he was replaced.

I repeat, it’s too easy for thick people to make an easy target a scapegoat.

Broken man rubbish!its like playing with 10 men everytime he plays the man is awful!!

LMB – I actually replied without really reading your post. I do agree that De Ridder would do better out wide than Gomez.

I will not retract the “gobshyte fans” comment though. It referred specifically to at least 10 different football “fans” who sit around me and clearly know jack about football. In fact, one of them is actually called Jack.

i’d forgotten De Ridder actually still played for us! It shows a huge amount of childishness to just pick your mates instead of someone who would do a better job tho. A bit more ruthlessness is required i think. Stam was cack from the 1st minute, but it still took 80 mins and 3 positions for him to be taken off

Great comment heard from the row in front of me today. Stam miscontrols the ball and it bounces into touch. Fatty sitting in row in K screams ‘Marteeenez, that’s shyt. You haven’t got a clue man!’

Needless to say he also applauded the Gomez substitution.

griff as i said before i agree with some of that -but to say it is their fault gomez is not up to it is “aarrtrageous” to say the least.
i actually thought gomez started brightly today and as i said he was not the worst on show by any means -the cheering when he went off was out of order,
i have to admit i scream and shout at individual players when they do something wrong or i dont see any effort but never boo them – and i do not blame any of them for their inadequacies, that lies solely with the manager who signs them or asks them to play in a certain way or position and that is what gomez is suffering from not boo boys.

      #54415

Gomez is suffering from not being very good. He does not need morons bawling at him just because they’ve heard their thick mates bawling at him too.

Anyone ever thought he might be prepared to come out of his shell a bit more if he didnt know he was going to be roundly slagged no matter what he does? No, thought not.

He is rubbish, deserves to be given a bad time.

After all he is even a diving cheat with no passion, no speed, no idea like his spanish mate

Just watched the shambles again, he is a diving cheat who has no idea.

He was not even the worst on the pitch but still his diving is enough for him to be boooooooood.

Stam and gohuri are far worse than Gomez, Calderwell and Alcaraz are on the same league as Gomez and they escape most criticism, but not mine, why do I bother I hear you ask. I have no idea anymore. It comes to something when I am thinking of things I could rather be doing than going watchingnthat shtie

I’m sure when he gets home to his nice house, wherever that may be, and checks his bank balance he feels really, ahem, broken.
If he cant get himself out of his shell because a few gobshyte fans are on his case then that speaks volumes about the fella. No balls and no fight. But hey, so what, he does a nice ‘Beckham’ dive doesnt he?!

Can i ask a genuine question griff – How does a scapegoat become a scapegoat? Or a cliche a cliche?
