As the title of the thread was ‘When fans take things too far’ i would guess Mauler was simply being ironic. Filmoss giving it the big one now. ‘PM me and we can sort it out. Ill fight anyone me’. Give it a rest!

And I’m sure Filmoss didn’t mean absolutely everyone in ES2 is racist but any sensible person would take his point.
A swift read through the replies and I can clearly see the wheat sorted from the chaff ! Firstly you will see that at no point did I say that any fans, never mind all of the ES2 fans are racists and secondly, you will see that my comments re racist chants were pertaining to my visit to St Andrews and what I witnessed there ! As a footnote I will add that a few fans on this thread seem to have witnessed and so therefore mentioned that ES2 fans do indeed chant racist stuff from time to time ! If I am an absolute disgrace for not condoning such behaviour then what does that make those who choose to do it ? Like I said, wheat from the chaff !!
Filmoss, i think what has got some peoples backs up is that this was a reported story about wet spam fans at spurs and you have linked wigan fans to this (prob not worded right) then go on later to say what you heard at brummy.Every club has some racist fans, back in the 80s racist chants towards black players was a common thing and i bet a lot of people on this board joined in with these chants includeing me,and when i look back i am not proud of it but its that gang thing and been young teenager seeing older lads do it i joined in.But no doubt others will not admitte to doing it because they have pointed the finger at our own
Behave! Are you all denying you have heard the town full of Pakis chant sung very recently by our intelligentsia?

There is a distinct difference between the sound of fans shushing to that of hissing ( Try it ! ) and I have definitely heard the latter sound emanating from the ES2 area whilst playing Spurs !
Well I have sat in ES2 every home game since we have been in the Prem and I can categorically state there has never been hissing against Spurs. You need your ears testing!
E5 me bigun I’ve never heard that hissing stuff.home or away?been to spurs 6 times now.to be honest I don’t hear to much racist stuff anymore not like it used to be and most of what I do hear is on away days.however I do agree that wig an as a town does struggle with the multicultural thing.
Well I have heard the hissing, but if nobody can back me up on that then I guess I will have to hold my hand up for now ! Back to the racist chants, the irony of ” Who’s the paki in the nets ” chant that was definitely sang to Bolton fans when their keeper was ……Yep you guessed it, our very own Ali Al Habsi !!
Never heard that one either! What I will agree on is the chants re cornershops in games against Bolton and Ingerlund chants at the Bradford match which are of a racist nature. Remember at springy when Kevin Francis broke Griffiths leg in the semi final the entire ground was singing ‘you black ba—-d’. It was undoubtedly worse then than it is now but am sure most clubs (in fact most Towns) have a few in the ground. Guess its up to the stewards or police to decide if an offence has been committed!
