                    :lol: Hi , I guess my family was guilty of the so called smell that drifted across the area in that time. Yes the maggot farm and the pig farm was the same. All ours. The smell didn’t actually come from the maggots, but did come from the Pig swill that was cooking in the early mornings. It was like a giant soup kitchen smelling of all the left over school dinners and BEANS from heinzs together with a bit of veg from hitchins.

                    Yes occasionally the spreading of pig shite did create that great aroma, but we only did that when the wind was blowing towards bickershaw or platt bridge lmao.. Brian
