A quick scan of this four page thread through shows at least TWENTY derogatory digs at Latics from different people, ranging from wishing we were relegated, calling us inbreds, “Scousers” (because Scousers REALLY choose little Latics over Liverpool and Everton :roll: ) and it goes on.

Now you’ve done your little crusade on here, perhaps you would like to go and put a few people straight on there – although good luck, anyone defending Latics on there gets banned or bullied off the board by the Pravda style RL fascists who don’t appear to want an open debate

Most rugby fans don’t just want Latics relegated, they want them extinct – as indeed was Maurice’s little plan – is it really such a surprise that a few Latics fans don’t like the rugby?

By contrast, what have Wigan Athletic ever done to deserve such hatred from people from it’s own town? Maybe you’d be best trying to understand that…….

I wouldn’t mind but when Wigan was put on the map as a rugby town because they won everything going and we were admittedly shit, they had no competition as all the other teams were part timers ! There were only a couple of professional teams out there ! Talk about having a laugh. We have risen through the ranks of 4 very difficult leagues to reach the cream of British football that is the Prem. Along the way we had to play many many games against fellow professional outfits, a damn sight many more games than the egg chasers played and now we have put Wigan on the map as a top flight football team with their own ground might I add. The fat tight fitting shorted dicks dont like it ! Well all I can say is football is the biggest sport in the World and we are in the top flight of that sport in this country whilst the peanut huggers are merely King amongst s h i t s !!

Dont you mean “Mr Whelan bought our way through the ranks, offering over-the-odds wages to players who wouldnt have given Wigan two seconds thought if it wasnt for the money offered”. Your proportionate expenditure versus income during the early part of this millenium would have put Pompey to shame.

not true. wigan only turned fully professional in about 92. and i don’t see why we should be discredited when other teams couldn’t be arsed to keep up. do man utd or chelsea not deserve credit for winning the league if they spend more money than the smaller teams in the league?
