Although they have absolutely nothing to play for, I’m hoping we put in a good performance. Send us away for the summer with something to be happy about.
Back to reality, I think we’ll lose, again but hope we score!? Just can’t see where the goals will come from though with the current preferred starting 11.
7 May 2017 at 12:20 pm #158719Will be interesting to see the team selection today.
Bogle will probably start in place of Powell as don’t think Powell will be here next season also interesting to see if the likes of Hanson and Tunnicliffe feature.7 May 2017 at 12:50 pm #158720I hope we play a radical formation, like 4 4 2 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Cos we’ve nowt to lose and the suffering fans deserve an exhibition of football !

7 May 2017 at 3:03 pm #158722Standing here now on the concourse with a pint reflecting on this lorry crash of a season there is one positive today….
It’s a nice day

Me too, just noticed the loan signings in again, proves one thing about clauses in contracts doesn’t it?
Fuck the EFL
7 May 2017 at 3:23 pm #158724All the loanees playing, proof of that daft must play clause.what a wasted chance for playing the youngsters. Whoever negotiates these deals shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near in the future. Trying to avoid relegation by picking a team you dont really want to. Utter madness
7 May 2017 at 7:13 pm #158729Exactly why I never went today. I want to.start afresh in August and hopefully enjoy it all again.
7 May 2017 at 11:42 pm #158767Thought we played really well in first half, enjoyed it. Second half was more of the usual stuff, did we have a shot on target in second half?.
Their pen was a disgrace and thought the ref was going to book him for diving. Couldn’t believe he gave that and then didn’t give us one on Bogle????Will be an interesting summer to see who takes over the team and what players we are left with. Hope we don’t have another mass turnover of players.. get it all sorted sharpish so come August we have a team that has played a full pre season warm up together.

Really disappointed with the inclusion of the loan players today, not to mention the one up front in this winner takes all friendly.
8 May 2017 at 1:53 pm #158808And can someone please tell me wtf signing an injured Bruce was all about ??? his total contribution to our relegation battle was 1/2 a game of football, absolute joke Sharpe to sanction that move, laughing all the way to the bank I say

Yep, because teams who play 442 never lose and always play exciting football…..8 May 2017 at 7:27 pm #158823Standing here now on the concourse with a pint reflecting on this lorry crash of a season there is one positive today….

Yep, because teams who play 442 never lose and always play exciting football…..[/quote]Like our scintillating play using the lone striker which has lit up the division Not.
22 games we failed to score in
20 games of the 24 we lost were by the odd goal.
With stats like that and the raw fact that had we scored maybe a dozen more goals possibly seeing us safe.
How the hell is this working for us?. We have been relegated ffs playing negative. I find it strange so many vehemently defend this tactic when it has done for us.
Question for the pro lone striker lot
Why is it that many teams make it work when we cant. Who is to blame how do we turn it round and how much longer do we persevere with it.
8 May 2017 at 8:08 pm #158827We won the league last season playing it and our lone striker scored 25 goals.
The basic fact this season regardless of the formation we played is that most of our players were out of their depth.
8 May 2017 at 8:40 pm #158828Playing one up front hasn’t been the problem. The problem has been play too many midfielders in the same mould. A lone striker should never be left as isolated as ours has this season.
