We’ll stay up, i’ll go for 16th
I think we will finish top half this season. Not even joking :o [/quote]
What planet do you live on???
As long as I have a hole in my kaiber we will not finish in the top half.
11 June 2010 at 12:33 pm #36872I think Newcastle will stay up comfortably. My three to go down Blackpool, Wolves, West Brom

Again, and thankfully, I believe that there are at least three teams that are worse than us and so they’ll keep us afloat again.
We need to improve our consistency, that was the thing that had the potential to ruin us last season. If we hadn’t have gotten those high profile scalps we wouldn’t have made it.
Then again if we had lost those games logically you’d think we’d go on to win the following games which is what should have happened any way. That isn’t to say that I’d rather see a win over Hull than beating Chelsea comfortably at home. ;)

If that’s what’s needed for Wigan to finish top half it has to be done :D

I also love the club but am a realist, there is no way we will finish in the top half. After last seasons debacle we will be lucky to avoid the bottom 3 as we aren’t getting better are we????????
12 June 2010 at 1:43 pm #37001the 3 to go down will be blackpool, wba & wolves i think.
we will finish between 11th – 15th.
top 4 will be in no particular order:
man utd
chelsea
arsenal
city/spurs – can’t make up my mind between those 212 June 2010 at 3:00 pm #37010The phrase ‘taking one for the team’ has never been so apt James.

I would hope and think the team will be significantly improved next season. As if we didn’t know already last season proved a commited squad of players who trust the manager implicitly is far more important than any players individual quality.
Next season Martinez will have his own squad, the deadwood and trouble makers will be moved on and we’ll see what the the manager and team are capable of.
Personally I don’t think there’s much between the teams below the top 8 so anything is possible.

13 June 2010 at 6:09 pm #37157I think you may be underestimating the buying power of Man City and the determination of its owners for success.
I forecast Man. City for second place.
