Again, and thankfully, I believe that there are at least three teams that are worse than us and so they’ll keep us afloat again.
We need to improve our consistency, that was the thing that had the potential to ruin us last season. If we hadn’t have gotten those high profile scalps we wouldn’t have made it.
Then again if we had lost those games logically you’d think we’d go on to win the following games which is what should have happened any way. That isn’t to say that I’d rather see a win over Hull than beating Chelsea comfortably at home. ;)
The phrase ‘taking one for the team’ has never been so apt James.
just goes to show what I will do for my beloved club! :) [/quote]
I also love the club but am a realist, there is no way we will finish in the top half. After last seasons debacle we will be lucky to avoid the bottom 3 as we aren’t getting better are we????????

I would hope and think the team will be significantly improved next season.
As if we didn’t know already last season proved a commited squad of players who trust the manager implicitly is far more important than any players individual quality.
Next season Martinez will have his own squad, the deadwood and trouble makers will be moved on and we’ll see what the the manager and team are capable of.
Personally I don’t think there’s much between the teams below the top 8 so anything is possible.
