Maybe, just maybe, things aren’t as rosey in reality between Bob and DW as the PR would have us believe

I really don’t know – but the thought has crossed my mind

What PR? There is only Whelan saying anything at all. And you should take most of what he says with a pinch of salt.

Not entirely – Bob also comes out with stuff about how he and DW get on so well, and it’s great to have a Chairman like him. And DW says how Bob’s got a job for life, and they are honest and open with each other.

The papers then pick up on this and suddenly we have this super double act that would make Romeo and Juliet look amateurs.

But when push comes to shove, Roberto starts to look elsewhere, and as soon as he does, literally as soon as he does, DW says “well, he can’t do the job, thank you, next candidate please..”

All is not well, I tell you.

I really am concerned that Whelan is the reason that Roberto has left, I think he was being asked to carry on without much financial support and without being able to bring in many new faces.

That is is a fair point if you are to read between the lines of Whelan’s statement on Martinez asking to leave.

Without being a fly on the wall we will never know but for speculations sake and depending on which way you look at it then it could be seen as a case of either :

a.) Whelan being “tight” and only offering a budget that Roberto feels is inadequate to put us in the strongest reasonable position to go straight back up.

b.) Roberto asking for investment outside of the clubs finances to cover the large amount of transfers needed to cope with the amount of games we have next season.

Personally I don’t think WHhelan takes a large amount from the club in terms of salary a for the job he does but then again I wouldn’t blame him if he did compensate himself in this manner for the work and investment he has obviously done for the club over the years and continues to do.

So again reading between the lines I think Roberto has possibly thought if I am going to stay I want to compete in Europe, FA CUP, and the league while keeping up the standards of our football from last season (obviously a point of opinion if this would be good enough to win the championship) which when you think of the amount of players actually needed between now and the start of the season is it going to be a massive task without competitive budgets to those around us.[/quote]

That’s all you needed to say Salford. Up to that bit.

    I do believe the rest of it…….Was indeed…………………………………………………….. A load of SHITE! and means nothing to any of us unless you are a chairman :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Very interesting though to see that Bristol City, Ipswich and Blackburn’s owners are so rich and they are where they are.

Was just to make the point Whelan isn’t quite the rich sugar daddy happy to get his rudders milked that some our fans seem to take him for.

        No, he’s not a stalker.

Only stalkers are Wiganmon and his other two moronic profiles and Callmeishmael who has still not got over the fact that he made a minor misleading post about Al Habsi months and months, had it pointed out and couldn’t bring himself to say he was wrong.

        ;)
