As I intimated above – all things considered I think losing 4-1 at home to Sunderland was a worse result.
Losing 2-1 to a Fourth Division team while fielding a second string is certainly embarrassing, cause for concern (or at least discussion), a bit of a wake-up call.
for sheer embarrassment = canvey island & tottenham
for the most ill knocking feeling at a game = gillingham @ wembley (our minibus broke down on the way back too /west ham (brian deane).
for being robbed blind = shaun goater playing basketball ( unt!
swindon is not even on the richter scale……..get over it were out, end of story……….
I haven’t heard any reports of people wearing blue tops being found floating face down in the canal nor any mention of an unusual rise in firearm related deaths in the area so I would say that this defeat has, by and large, been passed over without too much stress by most supporters.
Nope it hasn’t been our worst result in our history. Embarrassing, not as much as Canvey Island who are a Non League side.
At the end of the day there are worse things happening in the world than Little Wigan getting beat in the FA Cup.
