14 August 2010 at 8:25 pm #42387Im just trying to take the positives out of the game. No doubt Roberto willGet rid now, Seasiders hit us for four at home with most of their new players arriveing last week, what will a DECENT TEAM Hit us for double figures,to today no pace no passing game no idea no shape and no plan B It shows Jones and Barrow are not up to it,cos their training seems not to be paying off,Ideal World bring in Mr O,neil and yes ive have been the game.
14 August 2010 at 8:27 pm #42389If he loves this club as much as he says he does then he’d resign now!
14 August 2010 at 8:28 pm #42390This is his team, playing his system.
We are useless.
We don’t score goals and we don’t even create chances.
We have the individuals, nearly all our attacking players have been linked with big moves in the last year or two but as a team they are not producing. For me it has to be the formation. When Argentina’s top goalscorer can hardly get given a chance you should know this formation doesn’t work against lower league teams.

Couldnt agree more, its the formation! Always has been.
14 August 2010 at 8:31 pm #42392No.. Wouldn’t consider it.James take the blinkers off I think the Spanish one had his chance last season i wouldnt even give him another game ide sack him tonight when he,s having his tea.
14 August 2010 at 8:37 pm #42394wtf was that. just got back from the game (i’m still in wigan btw) & felt i had to post straight away. i admit to being a fan of martinez last season & sticking up for him, but after that shambles i am really dreading the rest of the season. no disrepect to blackpool, but they carved us open time & again to the point where they could have won by 8. i am dreading chelsea, spurs in the next 2 games. could lightning strike twice??
i’m sorry to admit, but i booed at half time & at full time – having never booed in my life, & certainly never after the first game.
should i have waited a couple of hours before posting when i may have calmed down??
this is my 32nd season now as a supporter and although we have lost many times on the opening day, its never bothered me. but looking at the first few fixtures we could be rock bottom with -25 goal difference.
I REALLY HOPE I’M PROVED WRONG & THIS IS JUST A ONE OFF!!14 August 2010 at 8:38 pm #42395this mon has knocked all the stuffing out of me, i’m not angry anymore, he has browbeat me i’m devoid of feeling. whelan won’t sack him, had his chance last season but didn’t. if martinez has any feelings for us he should do the decent thing and resign.
14 August 2010 at 8:42 pm #42397What an absolute shambles today. No heart, no passion, no ideas. Players who didn’t know how to track back, tackle or pass.
I thought it couldn’t get any worse after watching England this summer. But we have our very own version of Don Fabio. A manager who just stood there watching everything falling down before him and not once did he show any heart or seem to have a clue. Why wait til half time to change things?
Well done Blackpool, you showed us what it means to have passion for your team. Marlon Harewood for Fs sake!!! Then again, he’s ten times better then anyone we had today..
14 August 2010 at 8:45 pm #42400Not only did Blackpool do what you would expect, come at us hard and swarm the ball, we couldnt handle it. What does Martinez teach them.
The fact we havent learnt from last season make me think Martinez should go. Something needs to change or it will be a long season.
He should go..
