It reminds me of a story I was told about my dad when he was a factory foreman, many years ago. His relief foreman asked him how his shift’s go-slow was going. My dad had to call all his men together and ask them if they would at least have the decency to tell him when they were on a go-slow as it was very difficult for him to spot.
I’d have difficulty spotting our weakened team at the moment. Get the best first XI out there, whatever that is, and get them to pull their tripe out

My owd boss used to say that you have to crawl across broken glass to get in his team. In other words, you have to really want it. So if they really want it, playing two games 3 days apart should be now’t; enthusiasm and adrenalin should overcome any mardy tiredness.
