I have a sense of humour,have you ? normally wig I do but I think the Sun today went over the top with this. We have a massive tournament coming up in a month and all the new man has faced is negativity and pi$$ teking about the way he speaks.He is a very educated articulate man who is multi-lingual yet the Sun portray him like some buffoon.Just the thing we need going into the Euros NOT.
I have not seen a paper today,we all know he is a clever man,and likes nothing better than a book and a glass of wed (sorry red) redknapp still gets called brown envelope harry even though he was found not guilty.
I think its totally the wrong decision putting that miserable git in charge. The one thing you need in that job is a bit of personality / character and he has zilch.
I also can’t understand how people think he is a successful international manager. What a journey!the blokes only been in the job for one day and and people seem to be slagging him off, no wonder we cant win anything as a nation. As soon as a big tournement starts whether it be football, cricket or rugby the media have us beaten before a ball is kicked ,bowled or passed. Never really liked him since his comments after our defeat at Ewood in the FA Cup all those years ago, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt now, and get behind him.
We’ve had flamboyant characters and managers with International honours. We’ve also had sentimental appointments and inexperienced cheap alternatives, in fact we’ve had every type of manager so far, and still managed nothing special since 1966.
Roy Hodgson might just be the right sort of character to make the big time charlies come back down to earth and start thinking about winning football matches instead of their own egos and bank balances.Good luck to him.

To put Hodgson’s record into numbers without context is totally hypocritical in line with fat fan’s view of Roberto Martinez. Roy Hodgson’s international sides have possibly played far higher standard opponents than their own ranked level. His record is far better at international level, pro-rata, than Martinez’s record with us against like for like opposition.
Cracking appointment, much rather have Hodgson than Redknapp.

Can anyone point out in my post were I’ve said Redknapp should have the job and yet some of you are using that to ridicule my post.
I don’t need anyone to convince me about Hodgeson’s appointment I just think he is one boring Bastad, with the same likeability factor as Rodney fekin Marsh.
I didn’t like mentioning his comments after the Wigan cup tie all those years ago, cos I’ve already allured to it in another post, but I have never forgot that day as it nearly caused me to crash my car, I was that wound up driving home from Ewood.As for reference to the Sun’s article then fool those for taking on board what that shower of shyte printed, they’ve been ridiculing anyone famous including every English manager since it first hit the streets.
