I agree Bicky, he needs to shut the hell up and think about his own club. He’s embarrassing with all this media crap, and the more he does it, the more I think he’s after getting his compo back and getting someone in on the cheap, or even promoting jonesy? Would not surprise me in the least!
Like you say, if that isn’t the case, why can’t Whelan just say no, no permission, no chance, we need to be prepared for the season with Bobby, or better still, say nowt!

I doubt Bobby will be going to Spurs, in all honesty I think Levy has made a massive cock up.Harry got Spurs into the top 5 in his last 3 seasons there which the club hasnt achieved for donkeys.Reports reckon that no extension to Harrys contract would be considered till the end of next season on the proviso that Spurs were in the CL.Whoever takes over there has a mammoth task to better what Redknapp has achieved and I believe that Levy is not the kind of Chairman that would be beneficial to Bobbys career at this stage.Spurs are one of those clubs who demand and expect success and Levy has put himself in a position where as this time next year if Spurs dont finish in a top 4 he will look like a total tosspot.Im looking forward to the Spurs fans turning on him if the new man doesnt get off to a flier.Stay away Robbie it could be fun and games at the Lane next season.

And that’s how it will always be, we just have live with it. All the other EPL clubs apart from the top 5-6 clubs, are in the same position.

Even if Bobby stays or we get another manager who keeps us in the top 10 year after year, players will still come and move on as will managers, there are far bigger and better clubs out there. We are what we are and its not belittling our club, its being realistic.

Whelan saw a vision for this club and has neigh on got what he wanted. A European place may not be out of reach and that has to be an achievable goal, if we can get a few top 10 finishes under our belt.

What we are experiencing is down to one man and one man only, DW. I for one don’t begrudge him the right to publicly talk about allowing his manger to move on to a better job if it was on put on the table, after all he is also being realistic.

Forget about having loads of time to plan for next season with our current squad, that won’t happen. The big transfer deals involving the top clubs will start a few weeks after the Euros have finished, then it will cascade down to the rest of the clubs between then and the end of the transfer window due to them having the money from losing their top players.
We may lose key players the last week of the transfer season, its crap but it will probably happen, that’s were we are in the scheme of things.
It happens every year, have you got such short memories to remember how the script has gone for as long as I can remember?

What us fans must do and I mean us all, is not suddenly get above our station and expect players and managers come flocking to our club.
Our wage structure, our history, our fan base, our ground etc etc will always determine were we are in the scheme of things.
What our club as achieved since getting in the league is a minor miracle, there are loads of clubs in the football league who have all those attributes I’ve just allured to and would love to be were we are, it must be crippling um with envy.

I for one will not get my knickers in a twist if Whelan wants lord Bobby up in public or indeed any of our players. He keeps reiterating that he doesn’t want to lose any of them, but won’t stand in their way if they want to move on to better things.
If they do move on to “bigger and better thing” lets hope the trend continues to show that leaving Wigan Athletic, although might be great on bulking up the wallet, doesn’t mean you become world beating footballers with successful careers ON THE PITCH!
I’ll not start naming all those players who have fallen into this trap you know who they are. ;)

Yeah!…like you, I too agree with the biscuit and toe tag man. It’s true we supporters are hard done by and need to know the absolute detail of everything that goes on in the club. It is, after all, OUR club…….we have a right to know. What is going on with Moses…..is he or not? C’mon management let us know. Who are you signing and how do they fit into OUR way of playing? What are your financial plans for the next year/short term plan/long term plan….we need to know….NOW. Why are you not listening to US……we’ve played championship manager longer than you.
