Martinez is staying put end of!
He isnt big enough for Spurs and isnt going because their supporters will want a ‘big’ name which RM most certainly isnt!
Seem to remember the old man many years back talking up Jewell up for the England job with Stuart Pearce????????????????????
I have always said he would have made a great boxing promoter and all he is doing in my opinion is trying to get Latics in the media spotlight and everybody talking about us.
He does this better than any marketing company or PR guru could ever do as he is always popping up on skysports, radio five and talksport throughout the year with his outspoken opinions.
If the club is all over the news then it gets people talking and keeps the club in the spotlight then so be it.The club gets loads of mentions in the national media now and that is down to the chairman.I agree with bicky & johndoe on this one. After the liverpool thing, plans & preparation should have been put in place to focus on the upcoming season, not to give fans the concern of martinez allegedly going to another club after turning one down previously. To be fair to whelan he has said he hopes spurs “leaves us alone.” i know its frustrating for fans but in the 30 odd yrars ive been supporting wigan we are simply a stepping stone club for both players & managers alike.
Yeah!…like you, I too agree with the biscuit and toe tag man. It’s true we supporters are hard done by and need to know the absolute detail of everything that goes on in the club. It is, after all, OUR club…….we have a right to know. What is going on with Moses…..is he or not? C’mon management let us know. Who are you signing and how do they fit into OUR way of playing? What are your financial plans for the next year/short term plan/long term plan….we need to know….NOW. Why are you not listening to US……we’ve played championship manager longer than you.

Not the first time that you have made a reference to fans playing computer games or similar ! Personally I don’t play them but I wouldn’t think for one minute that anyone who does play them would think that they have the capabilities to run a football team ! You can be quite condescending when the mood takes you Micky ! B)
Don’t know who else was at the Fans Forum a few years back with Paul Jewell. Someone asked him “can’t we fill in the corners of the stadium?”, to which he replied “this isn’t Championship Manager, son”.

You know Phil you are quite right, however, it’s only after I hear some of the rubbish spouted in the local hostelries………and my ‘repetitive’ reference to computer games or similar – eh?
