That’s absolutely brilliant. Hope we can introduce some of the lads in the future before the big boys tempt their parents by paying mortgages off etc.
Unfortunately that’s how it works these days.29 February 2020 at 2:54 am #185430Says a lot when their centre half was outstanding according to reports. Rugby town my arse. We have outstanding players at Wigan outside the 1st team squad which is heartwarming for our future. COYL.

29 February 2020 at 10:50 am #185435Yes plenty of scousers but then we picked up
Plenty back in the eighties when we last had a great productive set up.
A great performance from the young lads and a fantastic turn out ( couldn’t attend due to work sadly but watched the stream )
Given the performance Several of them should be tried out in the first team very soon and are more than good enough.
McGurk and Robinson are two that should be at least warming that bench , maybe one or two more given the fragility of our squad with potential injuries etc.
A great future ahead and despite some of the gloom spouted about the ownersetc , this is the stand out success at our great club and should be applauded .
A brilliant future ahead looking at this lot and hopefully we will make a good few million if any are lured away.29 February 2020 at 12:14 pm #185436I couldn’t get there in the end. Watched it on youtube. Very good all round performance I thought.
29 February 2020 at 1:00 pm #185437Bainsy wasn’t a bad scouser that we picked up!!!!!

Cant remember too many polynesians in our ranks unlike the squatters.
And the fantastic fans that went to Owd Traffud were not scoucers but WIGANERS.
29 February 2020 at 2:36 pm #185439And Latics have no foreigners and nor do I recall us turning a side out containing 10 wigan born players.
The thread has f*** all to do with wigan being a rugby town or not but as far as home grown talents in the first teams go it is definitely a losing battle. Be like a rugby fan trying to get into a medium sized shirt.
The lads were excellent last night and hopefully the 23s get a big turn out Monday night
29 February 2020 at 2:44 pm #185441Great performance and a proud moment for our club and academy. We should all be massively proud.
Then theres some bellend tryna point score over the thugby who win every junior thuggery event there is

Don’t mean to be pedantic Nuneaton but you’ve made a spelling mistake
The correct title is Old Trout
29 February 2020 at 4:14 pm #185443Never been so proud to be a Wigan Latics for a long time. BRILLIANT performance and we should have had a definite penalty. Congratulations to all the youth team coaching staff you are doing a FANTASTIC job with a pittance of the money available to the top teams like Man Utd. When you consider Man Utd. paid £6 million for their number 10 from France when he was 16 Even our first team don’t have that sort of money .. I think if Geldard had played it could have been a different result.
When if ever have a Man Utd. team, playing at home, had fewer home supporters than the Away team.. Great following from the 2,000 fans that made the trip. Let’s go and get Promotion to Division one.. ;)29 February 2020 at 4:18 pm #185444For the push at the corner?
29 February 2020 at 4:50 pm #185445Great following from the 2,000 fans that made the trip. Let’s go and get Promotion to Division one.. ;)Indeed it was. Makes you wonder where they’ll be at 3pm today.
29 February 2020 at 4:50 pm #185446Not seen the game but the lad who scored said we had 2 disallowed?
29 February 2020 at 4:50 pm #185447Yep a push in the Penalty box in the second half. If the linesman had been in this quarter of the pitch surely he would have seen it. All the Latics fans who were right behind the incident saw it. And that’s not being biased.
