Before Martinez announced to the players the starting 11 Mario Melchiot went into the bosses office and started moaning that he isn’t getting a chance. I can’t understand why Melchiot did that, he is a great person off the field and not for a second would I think he would put extra pressure on Roberto.

I’m actually getting tired of all the complaining. Not just here but at the games as well.I would prefer to be in a 10,000 crowd and not have to listen to all this nonsense. Over the years I have been proud of our supporters but something has gone wrong recently and, for me, that is far more worrying than how the team is playing. This season we have played some great stuff but we are growing as a team in the hardest league in the world so it will be a struggle.
Who are these people who whinge from the moment the ball is kicked off? In fact I’ve heard moans as the team comes out of the tunnel this year. For God’s sake give them a chance.
It is making going to matches hard work, because I seriously feel like punching folk for their idiotic comments. One guy in East 6 was bigging up the fact that he could do a better job than Martinez. Nobody stood up to him and he ended up actually believing his own nonsense in the end. It was truly embarrassing.
We badly need a campaign to get behind the team over the coming months. Perhaps CL or the supporters club could organise something to get some real support going. It is possible, at times yesterday there was a real buzz as we got behind the team. But as soon as a pass went astray… it’s a good job Messi doesn’t play here. He’d have to be perfect.
This team is lacking confidence. If the moaners cannot see that then they are not supporters of Wigan Athletic.
How about we go to the training ground and cheer all of the players as they come in. I know when they come in so why not?

I sit in ES3 and there was a family with two kids, two rows down from me and everytime the kids tried to sing the mother told them to ssshh.
Now I am not against families coming to the DW, but whats the point of a family stand if its not being used by families.
I like a good atmosphere with a bit of banter and a few swear words here and there, but you are scared of opening your mouth incase you offend.I really think that we should have a stand for the vocal contingent, whether it be the east or the south and to be controlled by your age i.e no-one under fourteen for example.
On another note the kids are running riot under the concourse. When trying to have a pint at half time they have nearly knocked my ale over on a few occasions.Some bloke sat near me, asked me to watch my language because his son was with him. (i sit in ES3)

Fair enough.Lets be honest atmos is pretty tame. A few ways to improve it:-1. Hand out free tubes of smarties outside the south stand.
(That’ll get the young badgers goin).2.Half time lappies on concourse, nowt wrong with a bit of wench at games. (that’ll get the owd badgers goin).
3.Lucky dip substitution, All lads on bench put their names in a hat, whelan pulls one out. Whoever it is has to play in a mankini. (that’ll get the women goin, young and owd badgers).
4.Free ale all round, as i mentioned in a post on thursday.
This will result in 3 points for latics, and everybody goes home either HYPER,P1SSED,STIFF NIPPED OR WITH A RAGING LOB ON.

Most who know me on here,and the fact I have told you many times, know i never wanted Martinez in the first place,and have I probably been the person who has campaigned and called loudest for him to be sacked.In the last few weeks I decided to keep my trap shut for once and see why most on here disagree with my opinion of Martinez and support him like they do.
Well after the last few games starting at Notts county away , the Everton, county home replay ,Sunderland last Saturday and last night against Stoke,plus his post match interviews on sky or MOD i have had a major change of opinion on him.
I no longer believe Martinez should be sacked.
I am now convinced he should be sectioned and detained under the mental health act.
You got me laughing for a few seconds, so thanks for that. Anyway, he’s building a team to go to Europe. Gomez is perfect for us, but he gives no effort or passion at any game. If Gomez decides to make some effort he should stay until the end of next season.
