Just looking at the NPL final tables during the mid seventies suggests we dipped the couple of seasons before election to the league and finished second the year we got elected.

One of the reasons I’m trying to get info is to nail my first game. I thought it was Autumn 1971 against Runcorn, a 3-1 win, but it must have been Autumn 1970 as I went to Maine Road in 1971. I’ll find it sooner or later.

Just dug the programme out and it has match details written inside it ,but cant confirm they correct. Fleming scored all 3 Latics goals and Lace got Runcorns. Think i have some footage on video somewhere.It prob only 20 or 30 seconds long and has Citys goal on it. might take some finding tho due to several moves over last few years ;) .Also seem to remember the old supporters club having a night when they showed all the game but that was Springfield park days.
