I take it you are not a fan of the football league playoffs, where 3 good games (where there is no advantage for final league position) can get you in the Premier League from 6th place.

Fergie is a past master at the mind games and as soon as Mancini bit and spurted out that “Scholes desperation” comment bang went City’s chances of the league.
City can spend all the money they want on building a team, but unfortunately it wont be around a nucleus of players that have come through the youth ranks like the red side of Manchester have.
Remember Hanson’s “you can’t win anything with a team of kids” jibe that will live with him forever, those very same kids grew with the club and like a watchmaker, owd purple nose carefully placed the odd superstar here and there to compliment what he already had making a finely tuned and eloquent timepiece.City have some fantastic players, but unfortunately for the blubbering fans seen at the Emirates yesterday, that’s were it ends. :ohmy:
