Well done to each and every one of you. Nice to see that Bolton fans walked alongside you for such a worthy cause.
Its a 33.33% losing record now.
Seems like your happy with that loss rate. goodpost
I suggest you check the soup or leek tables for the last 5 years and see where losing a third of your matches gets you. B)
Not at all, but the longer the winning run goes on, the more fat boy’s “gloating” initial post will come back to make him look a tad silly. Remember “He who laughs last laughs longest, loudest and with better cause – usually at he who laughs first”.
Its a 33.33% losing record now.
And?
Suddenly there’s feck all for you to laugh about.
Remind me what’s Manuel’s win ratio is again? I bet he’d kill for a 67% win rate. In fact, I bet he’d kill for a 25% win rate.

There is a thread over on rlfans. Now that they sponsor “Super League” each team, it would seem, has a “truck” with their logo on.
They’re keeping tabs on where they have been spotted on there. Riveting !
Intriguing :S :S :S
however this made me chuckle these men want try paying prem pricesWasnt it about £20 at Bolton (6 miles away) last week? And £20 this week for the Villa game?
Full houses all round then? ;)
You obviously thought wrong then and took Whelans word for it.Why a rugby mon would ever take Dave on his word i’ll never know.
Unless it was just an attempt, on your part, to shit stir.
Not at all – its just that many on here seem to think that the DW belongs to WAFC, when in actual fact it clearly doesnt. It is only their membership of the Premier League that dictates they get first use of the pitch where there is a clash of fixtures.
Its a 50% record now and a very respectable 15370 turned up.
Bang on. Leneghan has given the rugby fans the right to hold their heads up again after a decade of mismanagement by Whelan & Lindsay. If anyone can persuade some of the rugby fans to turn up for a Latics’ game (and more importantly pay for their ticket) its him.
With the bottom 6 all playing each other this weekend, it could be a massive weekend.
You really need to stop worrying about this supposed non-sport and concentrate on 18th v 20th in the worlds’ most watched game.
BY “relatively cheap”, do you mean the same price that our lodgers payed for thier Cup final.£22 for adults and £9 for kids is pretty damn cheap for a football game, which is the usual excuse trotted out for the lack of away following. Spurs on a Tuesday night £40+, and travel etc – I get it why only 100 turned up, but its Bolton on a Saturday afternoon at £22. Its about £3 on the bus or train, and its a massive game, then I’d have expected more than 1900 to pitch up – wasnt there 4,000 at Blackburn last season? Or maybe my expectations are too high.
I dont see what prices for the rugby have to do with only selling 1900 relatively cheap tickets for a huge fixture. Unless you are saying that people would rather not go to Bolton because they have a cheap ST for the rugby and would rather be there. I didnt realise the 10,000 or so fans that havent got their ticket for the Bolton game were all ST holders for the Warriors!
Maybe the Egg (as a supporter of both clubs) will be along soon to tell us where he is spending his Saturday?
allocation 1,900 sold outI’d have thought many more than that would have gone – 4,000ish was my initial guess.
I know that there’s a rugby game on the same day at the DW, but I didnt think it would impact so badly on the sales for a big 6 pointer half a dozen miles away, with relatively cheap tickets.
No, not at all. We sell on match days unless it’s a bigger gameOr Roy Keane is in the queue!
Maybe Wigan should enter a booing team for the olympics – we’d win a Gold Medal with all the practice we’ve been getting!
I believe only the lower tier tickets have been sold for visiting fans so far, which will probably sell out bearing in mind its a big 6 pointer only 6 miles up the road and pretty cheap tickets too – I’m not sure if the upper tier will be available on the day.
They were probably thinking the same as those junior ST holders that took a friend for free on Saturday – “Thank God I didnt pay for my ticket”!
