Local lads representing their town. Never catch on eh?
As opposed to a bunch of Africans & South Americans who had never heard of Wigan until their Dodgy Agent waved a few quid in their direction. Mind you, not many of them stick around do they?
Chimbonda
Rodellaga
Palacios
Valencia
Diame
BosselliTo name but a few who fecked off at the first opportunity.
Whats it like to have a team full of people who would never have come near Wigan if there had been another option?
Its not the clearest, but the one 3rd in just above the black flag was a huge unit. Maybe you could snap her at the next home game – but take a wide-angle camera!
20 February 2013 at 3:56 pm in reply to: The SDW and LOTP “my Dad is bigger than yours” thread #103707It’s £19 FFS chubsters……………    :lol:http://www.wiganwarriorsfans.com/wigan/?s=Viewtopic&o=836909
It was a tenner at Huddersfield for a tie that Wigan hadnt been involved in since 1987. Yet 16000 of your average crowd couldnt be arsed to make that trip. That is very disappointing.
6000 at Everton if they make it to round 6 please – absolutely no excuses will be tolerated.
17 February 2013 at 12:51 pm in reply to: The SDW and LOTP “my Dad is bigger than yours” thread #103472This is a thread of posts condemning the behaviour of a few p1ssed-up kids. I dont see anyone condoning their actions.
Whats your point here SDW? Is there a point, or are you highlighting that the vast majority of Wigan’s approx 3000 travelling support yesterday find that kind of behaviour unacceptable?
As an aside, I take it the scrap at the end of the Southampton game has faded from your memory already, so dont pretend that trouble doesnt occur at football games.
Long time no see LOTP……They use it because they know it irritates many football fansClearly it has had that effect.
seeing as your allocation was 1,200 on your official site and not televised, also on the much prefered day to have a match (sat) in your top flight watching your 1st team…you should be taking more than us, if anything? No, because its a minority sport that nobody gives a toss about, so why would anyone in their right mind travel 40 miles to watch a bunch of 17 stone fatties rolling around on the grass? Besides, there’s Oldham v Everton and Millwall v Luton to watch on the TV, not to mention the weekly grocery shop.
Sunday teatime, on itv1, 5th round of cup, watching our reserves against a team in the div below???…..and the excuses for non-attendance begins.
That Commentator bloke spouting the same old rugby town garbage tonight and the are ground is never full blah blah yawn yawn.Showing the watching millions a packed away end tomorrow is the best way you can shut the gobsh!tes on TS up. At £10 a ticket and only 40 miles away for a very winnable tie in a round many will have never experienced, its not a lot to ask of your support.
And of course the added advantage of being able to tell the peanut huggers that “we took more to Huddersfield than you” – if thats not an incentive to get up the M62 tomorrow then I dont know what will be!
pointless game, pointless league against a bunch of bouncers and taxi drivers………..i actual forgot you’d played until i heard it of the only chubby in workAnd yet for such a pointless game, almost all of your 350+ posts are on the subject. There are others on here who will have rarely or never posted on the subject, because they truly believe it is pointless. You however are clearly obsessed with all things Cherry & White.
I suspect you secretly w@nk in your single bed in your mum’s house to a picture of Sam Tomkins.
From what I gathered at the time, Mr Whelan allowed the time to be moved so that the rugby game wouldn’t have to be changed again, he did as a favour to Ian Lenagan as it didn’t affect too much on Latic’s preparations. So a Wigan v QPR 3pm KO on 27 August 2011 would have meant the RL Challenge Cup Final would have had to be moved as a favour to the Chairman of one of the finalists?
Seriously, you need to take those blue-tinted specs off Mr T….!
JUST FACTSStrange that more “home” fans turned up to watch this one than turned up to watch the Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Everton games, all of which had at least 4500 away fans, compared to half a dozen from QPR.
But then again, you conveniently forgot the 4000+ free tickets given out for this game.
How did the Warriors get on tonight SDW?
Do you mean so that the people of Bradford can see their football team in a major final? If so, then damned right they should change their fixture – it may be a once in a lifetime trip to Wembley for any supporter of Bradford City.
Your memory is very selective SDW. I seem to remember that not too long ago, a bunch of overweight thugs rolling around in some pit-village minority sport cup final caused the mighty Wigan Athletic to change their kick off time against QPR.
ah yes, the four weddings and a funeral cup game against st-helens….biggest, bestest derby in the world tha’knows bert…..gerrum on piggin side ref ya pillock!
broadcast on the bbc aswell for all the country to see that it aint a rugby town anymore
Interesting you should refer to empty grounds for derbys in cup games. Do you remember this cup derby against Bolton? There wasnt a wedding on that night.
SDW & friend pack an end….
“Wiganers are bored of visiting the stadium having been there 10 times in 12 years between 1987 and 1998 with Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup”.
True – I got bored with going around 1994. I’m not hard-core like some.

What were you all doing in March 2002 when that article was written seeing as football hadnt even been invented in Wigan?
