Its half-term in Wigan isnt it? My brother is a teacher in Wigan and he’s been off this week.

the thing is with Lardy he failed to mention that the away allocation as reduced to 4800 and even uniteds following was well below that which bemused me half of the away end would have a few wiganers in anyhow so double whammy for the lodgers as many of them knobheads support Yanited

Let me get this right, because half of the 4800 Man Utd fans that were in the North Stand may have come from Wigan or a surrounding town somewhere in the North West, then they are counted as home fans in your eyes?

‘kin hell – this wins my award for most desperate reason to justify a shiiit crowd ever! :silly:

So, what is the general view on last night’s officials, who appeared to be unaware of the corner or hand ball rules?

18115 – 5000 = 13115. Great result, but embarrasing home crowd for a game against Man Utd. What happened to those extra 3000 home fans that turned up for the games against Villa, Swansea, Stoke & WBA?

    Football Town?

I’ve heard the same. That they are set to smash the attendance for the Wigan v Nottingham (Not Forest – that Other Team) in the worlds most famous cup competition.

I’ve also heard that those extra 5000 fans that have been attracted to the DW recently in the hope of being able to say “I was there when Wigan actually won a home game” will melt away, leaving the 13000 regulars + a whole load of Man Utd fans spread across the stadium.

Thanks for your attempt to turn your desperate plight into an anti-rugby thread.

I take it you are not a fan of the football league playoffs, where 3 good games (where there is no advantage for final league position) can get you in the Premier League from 6th place.

Was this not an attempt to compare the rules in egg throwing to football you thick chubster tvvat.

Why don’t you just do one and save yourself getting pulled from pillar to post every time your fat, greasy fingers plonk on your keyboard.

I hate everything to do with the cherry and shyte so I keep away from their message boards. Why are you so obsessed with this site, have you no chubster mates to talk to?

I usually reserve this for LMB but fek it you can have it.
No my fat slapheaded plonker, it was a reply to Griff, who had brought the subject of rugby into the thread.

Now run off and polish that bald patch…

Not really, but would love it if my team finished bottom of the league but still didn’t get relegated. B)

How many times have I told you not to compare the sports, your on a loser EVERY TIME eggboy.

Fat Man, please tell me where I compared sports in my original post:

QPR will go down – they have a horrendous run-in, and are lacking key players due to self-implosion (Cisse – what a buy eh!).

Blackburn or Wigan will take the 3rd spot, and it will probably come down to the game at Ewood – if its half as good as the West Ham game last season, then the neutrals will be in for a treat.

As for decisions, it is common knowledge that the big clubs get the favourable calls, but they also get them against all the other lesser clubs – its not just Wigan that are discriminated against. Almost every week, we hear of an injustice against one of Bolton, Blackburn, Villa, QPR, WBA, Fulham, Stoke, Swansea, Norwich, Everton, Sunderland, Wolves and even these days Liverpool(!), but very rarely at the expense of the Mancs, Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs.

If you do go down (and I hope you dont), its not down to yesterday’s shocking decisions – its more down to the poor defending and lack of creativity over the period September to March. You cant keep on only playing well for 6 weeks each season and expect to stay up.

Or were you having a pop at Griff for doing exactly what you accuse me of?

You cant keep on only playing well for 6 weeks each season and expect to stay up.

Correct. Yet in rugby league you can do that and finish up winning the title
in reply to: If, after the next 3 games… #84611

I suspect that even the bookies have factored three defeats in the next three games. Last year I put £50 at 5-1 for you to stay up before the Blackpool game when everyone had written you off. This year you are currently only 7-4 to stay up, which suggests that you have more than a fighting chance with the last 4 games.

in reply to: 100% RECORD #84604

70% and a historic win in the first game between the clubs at St Helens new ground. Maybe the bloke will last the season ;-)

in reply to: 100% RECORD #84344

How sad. Within a few minutes of a win you’re on a Latics board.

Yes indeed I believe the roads were empty between salford and wiggin
I guess the roads from Warrington were a bit more congested, but then again you probably wouldnt have even brought the thread up again if I hadn’t!

So, is the soccerball’s longer than 7 month winless run at the DW going to be broken today?

in reply to: 100% RECORD #84328

Seems the Wolves got beaten tonight – unlucky.

Oh, and so did Salford, but I guess you dont want to talk about that either…

if they’re going to pay monies out the back door, which they can’t afford to pay, then they deserve everything they get!

Which is exactly what has happened to Portsmouth, Port Vale & Glasgow Rangers so far this season. I wouldnt bet against other football clubs entering administration by the end of the season either. I see Hearts have yet again failed to pay their wages on time.

LOL – You are not wrong there – I’m blaming it on currently being on the Western half of the USA – 7 hours behind the UK!
