- Good 3 pts……Just a worry against better opposition the conceding of so much possession may be dangerous. Saydee,Costelloe, Murray all look great buys . I personally would like to see Matt Smith slotted in ….30 yds further up field than Maloney played him. Think that would be a godsend for Costelloe. Hearing we have to unload a few before window shuts,fear J Smith could be a casualty. On to Rotherham……still nowhere near finished article but im enjoying it so much more than last season.
Agree….also the midfield is tame. No grit,ball winner. Out muscled everywhere but particularly there. Has to be addressed ASAP. I still think Matt Smith has an important role to play in a more forward position than Maloney had him but needs protecting and at the minute we have no one to fill that role. Still early ,and we don’t knows the strength of the opposition we have so far played. Just worry me how easy Orient found us to play against.
Would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, particularly going to that turd pit. Totally agree…some saying he has to be careful he doesn’t alienate some players with this slightly abrasive approach……bollocks!!….a breath of fresh air. How’s about us being alienated with the soft arse management approach last season?. Latest rumour is we now in pole position to sign Ethan Erhahon from Lincoln, rated as 1 of league 1’s best last season…..would be a serious signing. Huddersfield throwing money around like confetti but sorry for being optimistic but I don’t think we’ll be far away…….took 40/1 ea/way to win league, 12/1 to get promoted and my most hopeful bet 5/1 to finish top 6. 8 days to go …..getting giddy!!
Mothersille to Stockport for 1 million could be league 1 signing of this season. 23, 6foot 2,very quick,and know where the net is. Was hoping we would have been interested as he fits the age and potential sell on profile but obviously 1 million albeit a steal is outside our budget…..shame. Still I’m happy with our transfer activity so far so onwards and upward.
Heard rumours last night that Lowe desperate to get Ryan Ledson in from Preston. Allegedly not happy there ….would be a brilliant signing if he’s willing to drop down a league and would certainly add that “s###house steel we desperately need. Won’t be happy bunny now Norway manager says he won’t be considered for international duty as long as he’s playing in league 1. Looks like he could be moving again soon.
Can see your point about Cze….Rumours that Ennis is a target still gaining momentum ,not sure i saw anything to just that against Blackpool. Stated previously Peterborough striker Mothersille would be on my list..fits our develop/ cash in profile 21 yrs. Yes would cost a fee but a player like him has serious sell on potential, very quick and a brilliant finisher. I know highly unlikely we’d be willing to invest but Peterborough have previous on selling players at not silly money. Just have to wait now for one of our most interesting summer windows.
Went last night and boy that was a painfull watch. Imo no chance we can challenge for top 10 let alone play offs with this squad. Turning Asamoah into a goalscorer?…Give me a break….yes has pace but that’s it!Some talking about Lowe working with him during summer to do this….not a chance. Goalscorers have been doing it since kids so lets get real and track down 3 who have history. As previously stated all down to not replicating the recruitment shitshow from this season AND spending a little. 2 freaky goals in last 2 games and as usual solid defence kept us from losing both and make no mistake we didn’t deserve anything from either. I have never known a squad lacking so much in final 3rd. Thought Adeeko did well again particularly 1st half so hats off to him he’s certainly stepped up recently. How will we clear out some of these contracted players ?…No idea but it needs to be done as financially painful as it will be …..this is the result of recruiting on masse sub standard players.
Today’s 2nd half was exactly where we are. Absolutely nothing in final 3rd and just as poor in the middle. Adeeko was my mom…well for his 1st half anyway. Wouldn’t break bank and but I suppose that depends on how far Danson opens the vault door !!!!
