I really hope he isnt the 2022 version of Will Grigg’s move to Sunderland.
As I said “excellent initiative”.
Still doesn’t detract from the fact that every seat in both east and west stands were shown as sold out, yet entire rows from 2-10 were completely empty. That stopped a casual fan who didn’t know a ST holder from going.
Seems like ST holders snapped them up without having a guest in place then had nobody that wanted the tickets.
Nice of you to offer, but it looks like around 5000 didn’t bother showing up.
Shame. Excellent initiative.
Looking forward to the atmosphere, if not the game
If you guys are in bullying mood, it should be a comfortable home win. Our lightweight tippy tappy prima donnas have gone into hiding since sides figured out that if they bullied them from the off, they’d go AWOL.
Great initiative to give all those tickets away, and I hope that a fair few come back for more in the future. Speculate to accumulate.
I was at the DW on Thursday, and the pitch looked surprisingly good. I was expecting a ploughed field and thus a sore neck today with a long ball game being necessary, but it seems to have held up. In fact the touchline is probably the worse part, and I’m surprised that the linesmen dont alternate ends to even the wear out. It was very clear that the lino on the East has been using ES1-5 all season.
Good luck for the rest of the season, and for next season in the Championship.

Its strange how in this modern era, full backs seem to only be able to play on the side which they favour with their foot. I’d have thought that when facing these inverted wingers that cut inside 99% of the time, having a left-footed full back on the right would help them make a tackle when the winger cuts inside.
Its very rare these days to see anyone go on the outside and then whip over a cross without having first checked back.
Thanks for the reply Horc. May I point out to you your post #194733:
The ‘Guess the Gate’ competition is now closed for Matchday 13 versus Oxford United.
There has been 33 predictions.
I concur. We need to avoid him like covid. He’s proved himself to be nowt but a gobshite without his right hand man.
Point of order Horc:
33 people made guesses based on a Saturday home fixture. In addition, you had declared entries closed at 11pm on the Friday night so all entries were locked in.
By restricting amendments whilst allowing additional entries, it could be perceived as giving an unfair advantage.
Probably too late for this round, but can this be taken into consideration for the other rearranged games when the GTG entries had been submitted?
With Max Power staring both games

In fact, play them both on the same day with 5 hours between games, then he could do a 2022 version of what Phil Collins did on Live Aid day in 1985!
I think I’d go if we get there, although we could potentially go to Wembley 4 times yet, I couldn’t afford to go to all of those.
It’s still a big “if” about getting to the final, but if we did, would it be fair on the youngsters if we suddenly put our strongest team out?
The ultimate two-fingered salute to the EFL would be to play Bolton on the Saturday and then put the kids (+4 “qualifying players”) out for the final on Sunday.
