“Lets talk about Rugby to avoid our own problems”.

Why are your crowds so WAFC? Simple. Hardly anyone gives a toss about the Latics, and those that do are rapidly waking up and smelling the coffee.

You may survive in the Premiership – actually as a Wiganer I really hope you do, but you will never flourish. The best you can hope for is mid-table obscurity, and that is never going to have the crowds flocking in. You sell players at a profit, which may seem good business but it stinks of a lack of ambition. Take Cattermole for example – he signed for a club who finished below you last season, and have not finished higher than you since both clubs were promoted in 2004/05, yet they ooze ambition.

Next up at home – West Ham, then Chelsea & Man City. Thank goodness they all have a big away following to keep the crowd level above 15K, however come 7 November, unless uncle Dave comes up with 5000 freebies, we could be looking at a sub-11K attendance when Fulham roll into town.

In all fairness, the ‘fans’ who pick their games wouldn’t have looked at the fixture list and said “wolves at home, not gonna miss that one.”

It’s not a big draw, at home to Wolves.

We’ll more than likely see around 23k on Saturday although alot of them will be just going cos it’s Utd and some will be born and bred wiganers who call themselves Utd fans. The kind of people who make me angry and feel sick!

People who go to the football on a budget (tight kangaroo) will pick their games and i’m fairly sure none of them would choose Wolves, more along the lines of Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, etc.

I guess they must be choosing one of the latter three this year then.

I totally agree but I wasnt the one that started this gloating thread. I think its very very sad and embarrassing. Have a word with the OP and get him to remove it and then we can all get back to hating each other! :D

There is an icon for reporting stuff, its the red icon!!!!!!!!!!

Which I did, and received a pm from you acknowledging it.

Then the reference to paedophile was left there for another 2 days, despite repeated requests to have the thread removed. Although you replaced the word “paedophile” in the original post, it remained throughout the thread. If this was an error on your part then man up and admit that you didnt pull the thread when you should have done.

And has the perpetrator been banned? (I would say calling a respected member of the Wigan Community a Paedophile is far worse than a couple of trolls). Or is he going to receive a welcome at the DW similar to the one al-Meghawi got on his return to Libya?

Well, if YOU had pulled the thread when asked to, then it wouldnt have gone so far. Do your fecking job as a moderator.

By the way, Mr Hayton at WAFC wasnt overly impressed by your so-called supporters calling a highly-respected member of the Wigan community a paedophile either.

Bolton got 20k on against Sunderland and they had the whole stand behind the goal (around 7k – 2 tiers). I know there were a few empty seats but if you say there were around 6k there from Sunderland that leaves 14k from Bolton.

The crowd was 22,200, and the visitors end holds approx 5500 so there were just short of 17K Bolton fans.

19,500 anything lower would be a bad turn out, The kids are off school so that cant be an excuse, on the subject, portsmouth only had a turnout of 17,500 but nothing mentioned on motd or any were else, If that would have been us we would have had the usual comments,

    16661.
