Maybe you should try it to fill the ground…
…hang on, you have, and it still didn’t work.
Your second and third were just pointless.Rather like the two teams 35 years & Donny follow over the weekend then… ;)
You cant have everything in life – a win on Fri and Sunday for my teams against their deadliest rivals made a defeat to Salford pretty easy to swallow.
I did spare a slight thought for those Saints fans on this board who had four defeats in four days to stomach. I hope their Easter Eggs tasted good!
When will the bookies be giving you your winnings?
When new managers/head coaches arrive, they often bring their own assistant with them – someone they have worked with for years and trust.
At Wigan, how many managers have come and gone whilst the assistant and coaches remain in situ? More importantly how many more will come and go before they get the chop?
For rugby games the North & South stands are unreserved seating, which slightly reduces the capacity. Also there are a few seats in ES1 that cant be used because of the large screen sky put up in that corner.
You forgot to mention who won. You also forgot to mention that the crowd was 24054.
Try discussing why a 3pm kick off on a wet good Friday and a 3pm kick off on a sunny Easter Monday had almost 10,000 difference.
It’s been bloody awful watching latics this season and its testament to the loyalty of the fans that our crowds have stayed over 11k consistently.Only because they bought STs on the back of a successful campaign and an FA Cup semi final the season before. Watch them plummet in August, regardless of which division you are in.
They are impossible to work with at the best of times!
Excellent choice of music at the SOL yesterday after our 5th successive win against the 8th biggest club in the world.
Bee Gees – “We Win Again”
Manfred Mann – “5-4-3-2-1”
Wasn’t there a similar rumour in back 1987 when the Latics chucked away a 2-0 lead at home to Swindon in the playoffs?
Respect to everyone who goes to The Shiverside. Oh and for events closer to home “Come on Saints “.Must have been a really bad day for you…. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
If Egg wants to go to watch his rugby team, while his football team are away, then that’s fine by me.Does that mean if he’s not at the DW on Mon at 3pm there’ll be hell on?
Egg is pretty quiet on this subject…wonder where he’ll be on Fri?
You are comparing 20 home games, including many where 5000 visiting fans attended, against 3 home games – all of which were against sides who brought less than 300 visiting fans.
I suspect come Friday, your stats wont look as favourable.

You’re right – they do.
Longest run without a home win – now there’s one that is broken on a regular basis.
Care to try answering my question, or you a Eunuch too?
Do you honestly expect him to?
He was the one that suggested that was the reason for the low turnout. I’m just seeking clarification.
But there was the little matter of a European qualifier on ITV that will have been a bigger attraction than shelling out £20 to see a very one-sided contest.

That would have been a major factor in the attendance being just over 1,000 down on what it was for the same opposition last year. Both Hull KR and Castleford had lower crowds than they did for the same opposition last season.
Now, back to my question, which I note nobody has had the balls to answer:
What was the “alternative” attraction on 24 Jan (-6048), 7 Feb (-2068), 24 Feb, 17 Mar (-4872)?
Even the one crowd that Big Roy chooses to brag about had 2087 people who were busy doing something else!
Touche!
