  • in reply to: Wages not paid again… #198666

I feel sorry for the low paid employees who need the wage to put food on the table and heat their modest 2 bed terraced house. I have no sympathy for those receiving £thousands a week, as their excessive wages have made a huge contribution to this situation.

A points deduction will all but confirm relegation, and going into admin would need to be done before 23 March (4th Thursday) or else the 12 point deduction could roll over to next season.

Its shit, particularly for the loyal supporters, and I can completely understand folk not handing over season ticket payments for 23/24 until they know what they will get in return.

£55K a game for a stadium in a shit-hole part of a run down Northern town versus what West Ham pay for exclusive use of the Olympic stadium?

I’ll have a pint of whatever you are drinking!

With regard to the other matter – perhaps your owners should have been more welcoming, instead of pandering to the anti-rugby minority. Result is you and your ilk get to fund the shortfall through increased season ticket prices.

The Supporters club bar generates profit for the club – would you have the council close all the local pubs down on Latics match days?

Thought you’d banned yourself for acting like an arse.

Rest assured, I will be putting your £20 to good use in an area that befits your attitude.

£7.7m loss. Would have been £10m if it wasnt for Dan Burn’s sell-on fee.

Wages 156% of income – that is not good. Nor is the directors taking out 4 times what they took out the previous year.

No wonder the owner isnt throwing his cash around. Everyone knew that whoever bought the club would have to have deep pockets to fund the shortfalls.

On the bright side, stadium rental brought in £657,774

It’s not just changes up front required, we need to rest Power and McLean. Both are struggling at this level.

Hate to say “I told you so”…..

But look on the bright side – its Egg’s £20 that I’m going to be taking this season.

Bristol City were charging their fans up to £48 to see them play Man City tonight.

I think a Latics shop voucher would have been a great prize for Mutty, it would have been justice and serve him right for all the piss taking he has done over the years.
I am sure Edwards will be happy with a voucher, he can’t take his ale anyway, 2 pints and he’ll be all over the place.

I’d be happy with a voucher.

Why have you not had a go this week Mutts, you don’t usually miss?

I meant to, but fell asleep whilst watching a programme just after I posted above and woke up after midnight. I would have put a guess in but as you’ve already alluded, the mardy arse Guess the Gate Police would have stamped her feet.

Good luck today, and like Edwards, I’m still waiting for my prize. Maybe I should throw a hissy fit!

This chod had about 4 different user names when the WEP allowed comments, and kept posting messages agreeing with himself.
