I am sure i heard soneone trying one out or something similar towards the end of the season coming from es2 near the drum and I dont mean the trumpet.

    They should be banned

It was me. Why should they be banned.

I dont know if anybody has ever noticed but the fixture computer as been really cruel to us in the 5 seasons we have been in the Premiership.

    5 Opening Fixtures
    05/06 – Chelsea (Home)
    06/07 – Newcastle (Away)
    07/08 – Everton (Away)
    08/09 – West Ham (Away)
    09/10 – Aston Villa (Away)

    5 Closing Fixtures
    05/06 – Arsenal (Away)
    06/07 – Sheffield United (Away)
    07/08 – Man United (Home)
    08/09 – Portsmouth (Home)
    09/10 – Chelsea (Away)

Out of the 10 fixtures only 3 have been at home and 3 out of 5 times we have had to face one of the big 4 in the final game. Also for 2 seasons we have been away on both the first and last game.
With the Chubsters at home the night before the opening day this season i cant see us getting an opening home fixture.

I will guess that we will play Sunderland away first game and Newcastle at home last game, what does everybody else think…

Add Blackpool (Away) and Stoke (Away) thats 3 out of 12 fixtures at home and for the second season on the trot both games are away from home. Still not had a opening fixture since Chelsea first season.

Is the fixture computer against us?

    Away to Blackpool!

Personally thats one i didnt want due to Blackpool being in their first game and being fired up.

Will be a top day out but tickets will sell out straight away.

I’ll stand corrected – Mr Garswood might help me out here – but I don’t ever remember Liddell missing a penalty for Latics.

But if asked who I would want to take and score from a penalty to save my life, it would be Andy Liddell.

    David Unsworth for me

Good shout Darren, I hope we get Blackpool away either first or last, that way the weather will be good at least. Hope we don’t get them on a Wednesday in January  I hope we have a winnable home fixture last day of the season ideally, maybe Blackburn or West Brom. I said winnable not easy!

    Darren :?:

It wasn’t a bad challenge per say Scoffy..Just a strong challenge.

Not a bad challenge, if I remember right the ball had been played about 2 days before Sir Titus got there.

has to be Arry de zeuwe (sp) for me, a born leader we havent quite managed to get back, that 1st tackle in the 1st prem game v chelsea was just the start and example we needed from a captain.

    leadership quality yes without question

but that tackle was not half as good as the one by bramble against wallcott in the arsenal win , everybody in the ground except wallcott saw it coming and held their breath in anticipation, and good old titus didnt dissapoint anyone, wallcott went flying absolute classic.[/quote]

For me that tackle sparked the comeback, the whole crowd lifted, i dont think i have ever seen such a bad challenge celebrated so much.
