Why cheer him?
He plays for the opposing team. I don’t mean target him for booing, but he is just one of the opposition now.
He scored the most important goal in our history, certainly, but time has moved on. He gained our gratitude when he was with us, he lived off that for a while longer than his performances for us merited, and now is one of a team that is hoping for us to lose. If he isn’t wanting that then he has no place in their team.
Is it open after the game tonight?
Two home wins this week
Heineken is shitter than Carlsberg? Where do you supComedic licence, old chap.
I drink bitter.
There are people in wigan who have run chippy’s for years. And years. And still do. And haven’t failed, without rich grandads. But how many have run a fish and chip restaurant (not chippy) based out of the way of any passing trade, residential area, shopping complex or in fact anything?
If Heineken made conspiracy theories, they’d post them on Cockney Latic
Thought it was carlsberg.
Whoosh! I was too subtle, obviously.
Carlsberg, as a good lager, would have good conspiracy theories.
Heineken is s**t, so its conspiracy theories would be as well. And hence posted here.

David Sharpe? Dave? Wonder where he lives. He could call himself “Dave from…”? ;)
Talking of attendances, how many were on for the Huddersfield game? There doesn’t appear to be a record of it anywhere?http://www.wiganwarriors.com/wFixtures.aspx
Mind you – just seen that the Tigers’ home stadium, once proudly and intimidatingly called “The Jungle” is now the …..Mend-a-hose Jungle :) :) :cheer: :cheer: :P :P
Who’s peeling onions? Come on, who is it…..
If it isn’t too old fashioned there will be a bright shining light of hope if we keep with the same side, same tactics and same formation. I would even say that if Uwe had done this from the start of the season he would still have been manager now and we wouldn’t even be in relegation trouble. But of course that is just my opinion.
Jah, das ist richtig !!!!!!!!!
Sie haben recht, actually :P
Almost certainly right, SW.
But we can view it as a fresh start.
The years in the PL (mark I) and the FA Cup win are now safely lodged in the memory banks. It is time to move on, to new times and hopefully experiences ahead.
For those with a historical mind:

They disappeared off the footballing map when Tom Finney hung up his boots
Appalling idea, once again pandering to the Premier League. It will make no difference to the quality of England in the future, and it means that the opportunity for Bristol City or Rochdale or York City – or even yes Wigan Athletic – to get to Wembley will be diminished.
Who is going to watch a Wembley final between Newcastle B and Arsenal B?
““Contrary to some suggestions, there are no plans to sell the club, which will remain in family hands and I have every confidence that David, along with Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson, will lead us forwards with wisdom. “
