I’ve just read thia:
Forest looking for players from Kuwait and the UAE
That is hilarious! I wrote a mall piece on here last December about the couple of games I saw in the UAE and how poor their players were.
Good luck, Forest!
At least they’ve not changed the clubs colours ……… yet!
Shouldn’t a team called Forest play in green shirts and brown shorts and socks? :pinch:[/quote]
They won’t change their colours – will scarlet be seen for a long time at the City Ground?
Although I am no real fan of theirs I equally don’t really care enough.
But, if you want a prediction that you can come back to me and laugh at – although I may not be around by then – then here we go for ten years down the line.
Wigan Warriors will be owned by a foreign consortium (I don’t think rugby will avoid this when all the football teams have been bought out foreign investors will look to other sports) BUT they will be in or working their way towards admission to the Rugby Union Premiership.
Rugby League will be a diminishing sport (I’m not going to get into the discussions that this is already happening) while Rugby Union will grow as a commercial sporting venture – still behind football but sufficient for economic investment, unlike RL with its limited geographical interest.
Rugby Union will grow in importance and Wigan Warriors (and maybe Leeds) will cash in on that. As Rugby Union sides.

“”We interviewed high-profile figures but we truly believe Sean O’Driscoll is the best man,” Fawaz Al-Hasawi said. ”
I love the “but”
I’m going to that one and the Sunday double-header Brazil v Belarus and New Zealand v Egypt. Also going to QF which will be Spain if they win their group, and the Semi final.
It’s a good chance to see football this early in the year (having forgotten that TNS were playing Helsingborgs this week) and maybe some youngsters of the future.
Although have already seen Senegal when went to the “Ali’s free tickets” game at Coventry.
Can’t sign for us though, Just been invited to get some experienceTrue – he has to be a regular member of the national team and they have to be above 80-something in the FIFA rankings.
He’s being advised to do what Ali did with his spell in Norway, and bide his time.
This thread will be instantly locked if anyone mentions currying favour, poppadum over here, or my naan says he’ll be a good ‘un.
The weather’s OK to keep the gardens wet.
We need water for d-ahlias and other plants
Very impressed with everyones knowledge of Irish towns and cities. I assume no-one has been googling
Not a slightest bit of googling on my part. I do just happen to know Irish geography.
But I can’t stay talking all day. Need to go to the garage, because I have a Car low on petrol.
Cheer up everyone.
Just start singin-G alway’s Look on the Bright Side of Life.
It’s not getting you Down, is it?
Poor old Donnolly? I’m still having nightmares about that photo. But I’ll bet he thinks “Our ma thinks I look sleek an’ trim”.
Just dug out the Premier League handbook.
Section I – Ground Criteria
“Ownership of Ground and Training Facilities
3. Each Club shall either own its ground and training facilities or have a legally enforceable agreement with its owner for its use by the Club, expiring not earlier than the end of the current Season.Ground Sharing
4. No Club shall have or enter into a ground-sharing agreement unless the agreement contains a legally enforceable provision to the effect that the playing of the Club’s League Matches shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement”So there’s no problem about sharing a ground as long as there is a legally enforceable provision that football takes precedence. I presume this is what we have in place.
Not at all – I just thought I’d have a sly go at a reply
