Should be an immediate ban by the club. We were all incensed when Diouf did it to Arry even when he wasn’t playing for us. To have one of our own players now doing it is to be honest even more embarrassing than the team performance. At least that you can laugh at.
Personally (and what do I know) I would have taken Rodallega off sooner rather than later for Sammon.
After that miss in the first half his head must have been puddled, and as he didn’t manage to make amends fairly soon after he should have been subbed, for his own benefit as much as anything else.

What I also find amazing is that the first team squad don’t actually play for the reserve team (so all these “let them sit it out in the reserves” ain’t an option). So we have players on significant wages who aren’t actually playing any competitive football.
How does that work then?

Lee Probert is scheduled for us.
I went to the game on Tuesday afternoon and he came on in the second half. He looked very good – at that level. Some very good touches. Fair enough Newcastle had Alan Smith and Tamas Kadar in their team as well as Shola Ameobi’s brother, but still it was Reserves.
He’s definitely one for the future, but I’m not sure about “bring him in against Wolves”.
