He`s a lyin get,he`s made brass out of t`Latics….fact!
Have you ever heard of libel laws by the way?
Wages £42 million???……so a squad of 34 are on average £1.2 million a year each??
Sounds about right to me that actually – a million a year is £20,000 a week which is what most people quote as being Premier League wages.
You really are on a wind-up though aren’t you with this thread? Of course Whelan hasn’t made money.
Crewe v Stevenage.Another team ticked off the list :D
Lost to a late scrambled goal from a corner that the defence couldn’t clear. Booed off at the end.
Lightweight midfield that wouldn’t put a challenge in and continually took corners and free-kicks short and sideways instead of the obvious hoof forward.
Dependant on one fairly speedy player who had no support and couldn’t do much himself because of the pitch which churned up.
I felt quite at home :D :D :D

Fowls are penalised
I’ll go for 1441, the 1000th game being Gillingham away 15th April 2000 and wait for Garswood to give the exact answer… :banana-skier:Depends on what you mean by League game, he says being pedantic.
The Gillingham game was the 1000th game if you just include the standard League season, but if you include play-offs then the 1000th was Brentford away 1 April 2000.
We can take some positives from today
The only consolation about tonight is that, from the team he put out, it now looks like Martinez knows his first XI. We put the reserves out and Stam, the Caldwells, Diaime. Thomas and DiSanto need to stay as just that – reserves, with places on the subs’ bench for Pollitt, McArthur, Lopez and McManaman. Assuming Boycie’s fit, I’d say Bob’s first XI (and it’s not a bad one) is now …
Habsi
Figs
Alcaraz
Gohouri
Boyce
Moses
McArthy
Watson
Cleverly
NZogbia
Rodallega. This a joke? Sure made me giggle.
Stam and Di Santo aren’t that bad. Diame is one of our best players by far!! Gary Caldwell is also a good player in my opinion.
You have named Watson in a starting line-up? The lad is awful! Not deserved of a starting place in ANY prem club IMO![/quote]Have you been drinking, James?

Was Sky asking for women who know about Latics?
Apparently these are really good for sewing numbers on……
Dogged by bad luck
Someone should have seen through this, and chipped away at reducing the debt.
There would have been some pain, but in the end there is only a small window of opportunity to rescue a company like this.
As you can pay on the night I don’t think that number of tickets sold to date actually has any significance.
Unless of course you wish to knock the club.
I thought we’d done the piscatorial puns to death :shhh:
A different view given on BBC website:
“Wigan’s performance was a battling one – which should give them heart in their quest to avoid the drop – but it also showcased enough fluency and ability to make one wonder why even with this point they remain in the relegation zone, albeit only on goal difference. “
We could do with going out of that competition if we have any chance of staying up. Shouldn’t really say it but i hope Bolton win here and have to go to Fulham.I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m of the opinion that we ned to be getting into a winning mentality and we need to be finding the net. Losing isn’t going to do that.
