Sounds about right to me that actually – a million a year is £20,000 a week which is what most people quote as being Premier League wages.

The Gillingham game was the 1000th game if you just include the standard League season, but if you include play-offs then the 1000th was Brentford away 1 April 2000.
The only consolation about tonight is that, from the team he put out, it now looks like Martinez knows his first XI. We put the reserves out and Stam, the Caldwells, Diaime. Thomas and DiSanto need to stay as just that – reserves, with places on the subs’ bench for Pollitt, McArthur, Lopez and McManaman. Stam and Di Santo aren’t that bad. Diame is one of our best players by far!! Gary Caldwell is also a good player in my opinion.
