I don’t even have any golf bats :(
He’s right, you know!
I would just have said Southampton.
Take a bow, halfwit (that sounds a bit strange  )
It’s what I do :D
ÆThat’s very good – I doff my hat to you sir (genuinely).

OK – I’ll clarify this for you and end this.
You posted “This does not need it’s own thread at all”
It’s means “it is”. Its meaning “belonging to it” doesn’t have an apostrophe. You wouldn’t write “hi’s own thread” – it should be “its own thread”.
So, I’m afraid you got it wrong. Griff picked it up. And I’m afraid that despite what you may think I have my own mind, and recognised your error too.
If you look at all the posts since, from Griff, SW and myself, you will find they are littered with “it’s” and “its” – all in the correct places.
Happy now?
First and (to date) only wins in the World Cup Finals
It’s missing you completely, isn’t it, James?
Your post had its own little mistake, I’m afraid. It’s one that many of us have spotted.
Curses!
My previous car was a 146 and I was going to put a picture of it for “146”. Now you’ve put the 145 in I don’t think I can :( :D
Back to the drawing board.
You might want to re-phrase the question as Castleford beat Wigan in mid-September 1999.The question is on the Main Forum and not the non-football forum ;)
Link?
Oh yes. All that is correct.
You not having a go at my nickname quiz Garswood ?The ones I knew have been answered :(
I knew the footballer, boxer and golfer, and I knew vaguely who the swimmer (or why he was famous at least) was but couldn’t for the life of me tell you his name, and if you’d asked even less could I have told you his country (although I do know the continent ;) )
Sadly, I think I know this…..didn’t the Indians want to play bare-footed and Fifa refused to allow them to?That was my answer too
100% Cambridge.
FA Cup 1st Round 1999100% eh !!! Are you sure ! Nuneaton was right.
The first “away” team to win a competitive match at the JJB Stadium was….Wigan Athletic. They beat non-League Cambridge City in the FA Cup 1st Round on 30 October 1999. They were technically the away team (and in fact wore an all-gold change strip), as the game had been switched from Cambridge’s ground which had been deemed unsuitable to host the tie. So there ya go ! A good pub trivia quiz question I think you will agree ![/quote]To be totally anal – the programme was a Cambridge one (black and white cover) – and although Wikipedia says that Latics used the away dressing room, they didn’t.
