Think his appearance in the final game at Highbury was worthy of note.

Come on as sub as Arsenal have a corner, trot into area, as corner comes over elbow opponent, Uriah Rennie sends him off. Classic! I think he lasted 16 seconds.

Anyone else got that feeling that, against all the odds, it might just be our year??

On BBC’s site text coverage for the Liverpool game:
“2124: The official attendance at Liverpool is 31,063. You know, for an FA Cup replay that’s on television in a recession, that’s not too shabby at all, is it?”

How come that it’s almost praiseworthy to have a poor attendance (by their standards) for an FA Cup tie in a recession if you’re Liverpool, but when we have a poor attendance against Hull in poor weather – and a recession – it’s diabolical?

We’ll be OK as long as we don’t sign Ben Thatcher

“Wigan had been interested in Celtic striker Scott McDonald, but talks broke down last week between the clubs and the Australia international has since undergone hernia surgery. ”

Now come on – I always thought our medicals were a bit of a joke….. ;)

If he isn’t good enough for Celtic he isn’t good enough for us.

I really really hate to do the “look how far we’ve come” but if a few years ago someone had been saying that we are on a par with Celtic in our aspirations then frankly I’d have been ringing the men in white coats…. (and I don’t mean cricket umpires)

That was Geoffrey Howe and Norman Lamont that I can remember, wasn’t it?

Another name to be pulled out of the hat – six and two thirds.

                      (That’s one for the oldies…)

Not sure we want someone who’s sweating?

                        Seems a bit undignified……

It wouldn’t surprise me if they postponed it as the car-parks at the BBC are covered in snow and the presenters will not be able to struggle in

Shooting in the second half was quite accurate though.

                              That does`nt make sense cock!

I hate to say but it does –

For the Blackburn game the streets were like an ice-rink but a layer of freshly fallen snow would cover any ice and be easier to walk on

If you actually click on “Wigan” to get the details you will also see a significant number of our transfers are recorded as “signed” – in other words the amount paid or received is not known.

In other words the statistics are 100% completely useless.
